I was riding my motorcycle at Xmas Hills Recreation area and was sitting in a shelter to get out of the wind and rain. While sitting there a bolt of lightning passed right over the shelter and hit a tall tree about 50 yards away. When it hit the tree it just kind of froze in place for a few seconds and then the tree seemed to explode about 20 ft up and the top came crashing down. It was smoking but the rain put out any fire. It was really scarry.

Guess I'm goofy. Last week we had highs still below zero, it's a near white-out right now, and I can't wait for it to clear up so I can fire up the tractor and plow out the drive. Spent a long time in Maryland where we'd often get rain in the 30s. Miserable, ugly. Snow Rules!
