VMRC votes to close all peeler crabbing Sept 16 and not reopen until May 1. That eliminates the late season runs and mid- late April run in the lower creeks. Bushel limits also reduced in various stages depending on license size. Arrrggh.

I'll be on the Piankatank over the holiday at friends...we can usually get a dozen keepers every 2-3 days with 4-5 pier pots....we'll see.
