I've had one fall off the bed onto the floor. I'm not sure they even woke up. We've learned to locate the nearest urgent care/emergency room.

Wife and I camped a few times before kids. We took our first son tent camping when he was around a year old and we had a terrible night. Not his fault, he was used to his pack and play when we traveled and we decided (bad idea) to try him on the cot. He woke up in the middle of the night and wanted to sleep with us but neither of us were used to it and all 3 slept terribly. Despite that, we had a blast during the 2 days.

Our next family camping trip, our son was 3 and our second son was 5 months. We rented a Popup camper at Disney Ft Wilderness last year. We all did much better in the popup. This sold us on the idea of RV camping with them going forward. We are now waiting on our HTT to arrive to take adventures.

I would highly recommend listening to RV Family Travel Atlas, they do a podcast that is geared to this topic, RV lifestyle with a young family:

RV Family Travel Atlas

They are also big Jayco fans, too.

anybody here rv with children this young? Any advice?
just us...we started when they were out of diapers..

I grew up camping and loved it. so when my last one was out of diapers i told the wife it was time..but we were in a tent and air mattresses. i didn't want to be on a trail somewhere carrying a diaper bag and other stuff..but that's what we said was best for us.

my kids love it!!! they loved the tent, they loved the mountains, they love our new trailer, they love the campfires...they love it all!!!

You do have a little better arrangement than what we started with...id go for it!! get em started now and you'll have camping buddies forever!!

My sons first camping trip, at 3 months old, was great! It was at a state park in a tent. At about a year old we took him, in a backpack carrier, to the Great Gulf Wilderness (north of mt Washington NH), and many more since. He loves camping and can't wait to sleep in our new pup. He is always asking to sleep in the tent, too. He is now 5.
