Solar Powered Lights. Saw this in Trailer Life magazine, thought it was worth sharing
Those inexpensive solar powered lights that you stick in the ground along driveways (or wherever) can be a good source of lighting while camping. The author makes a stand out of coffee containers, or something like one, that can be filled with some gravel or a few stones for weight. That way the lights can be placed in the open during the day so they charge, and where you want them at night.
I would give her credit for her idea, but I don't remember her name

Thanks for sharing. I looked this up because I have been wanting to do it for a long time but haven't had the time to figure it out on my own. Below is a link to the write up,

that is a good idea as i tend to break the plastic spikes they come with, even in soft soil... most CGs we camp at have such compacted gravel/soil that pegging the dining tent is hit or miss, so the idea of little pots for the lights is a good one IMHO.

Or how about a small tripod that can fold up so they take up less space.
$15.00 from amazon.com
just atach the light to the top and your good to go.

Thanks for the link, tedshelleykacie. Maybe it has been thought of before now, but I instantly thought of making a "runway" for backing into a campsite during the night. 3 of these on each side would provide some outstanding landmarks that would help a novice RVer such as myself back into a tight spot, yet not be so bright as to blind me. Happy Camping!!

Take a large spike and small (2.5lb) sledge hammer drive the spike a few inches into the ground TAP it on the sides all the way around lift it out and put the plastic spike into the hole... so far that is working great for me and does not take up all the space that coffee cans do
