We had lots of rain, flooded roads and winds up to 60MPH here on the shore. No school Monday. Chesapeake Bay bridge tunnel had level 3-4 wind restrictions Saturday night and well into Sunday. The storm came much farther north then forecast.

Outside of Raleigh we had several hours of heavy rain and strong winds. We did not lose power, but many did. One coworker said Duke Energy told him his might be restored by this Saturday, one week after the storm.

Lots of flooding here with quite a few roads blocked by overflowing streams. Many crossings on secondary roads in the counties east and southeast of us were washed out by failing culverts. There is a serious dam leak southwest of us.

We are on ten acres with about 3/4ths of it wooded. At least 5-6 large trees were downed. Fortunately the two closest to the house fell into the woods and not towards the house or the Greyhawk, so luckily we have no property damage.

At least Matthew turned east and spared the NC coast a direct hit. The glancing blow was bad enough.

We had heavy rain late Saturday night into very early Sunday morning. We were camping at Adventure Bound in Lothian, MD 9near Washington D.C. (Spent Thursday thru Saturday taking in the sights of DC with the kids.

Very windy drive home Sunday afternoon. That wind was pushing the trailer around quite a bit.
