Vacuum sealers for food

Anyone here have any advise about which one to buy? Zip lock, Food Saver, others.

I have a FoodSaver, been using it monthly for about 8 years. Works as adverstised & no complaints. The bag rolls can be a bit pricey, I typically by the costco pack, its a lot of bags but by far the most cost effective way I have found.

We love our food saver although this summer stopped working on us. It no longer takes all the air out, just some of it. It might be fixable (a seal) but have not checked it out close enough. I buy just the rolls to make my own size bags at bed bath & beyond always using a 20% off coupon. We use it a lot so if it's done it's definitely got a workout.
