Warning. . . Camping World

I took the DW to Camping World for the first time ever..

Does anybody have any part time job openings.. I might have to take a second job for a few months to pay for everything.

You must understand Camping World's pricing formula. List + Cost + 10%.

Yea. I know. I wanted to get a couple of new faucets and shower head. They were advertising some camp chairs that we were interested in as well. THEN she found the kitchen isle and the kids, well. . . .

But we had a good time. The closest one was about 45 min away so we all got into the truck and made a fun road trip. We're going camping next weekend and it got everyone ramped up and rearing to go.

I just put new faucets in my 28BHS today and love them. Word to the wise just buy decent faucets from Lowes as regular faucets are built much nicer than most of the plastic ones they pass off as rv faucets. I put in a Peerless faucet with the pull out spray head-on my kitchen sink. I put some pics up in the mods section.

You can do better on plumbing fixtures at Lowes or somewhere like that.

No one company is all things to everybody, but Camping World came through for me this week. I arrived at Road Atlanta for 5 days of racing. After setting up a cup of coffee was on the agenda, but my fresh water pump had other ideas. It was running, but not pumping (see another thread). Camping World had a location 9 miles away. Problem solved. Would he pump have been cheaper by ordering online? Maybe, but I didn't even look. I needed it now and they had it.

While I do shop at the local CW, I compare prices carefully as there can be a significant differences with other stores. For example, I recently added a bike rack to the rear hitch. The bike rack I bought from Northern Tool is regularly $70 but was on sale for $35, and I had a $5 coupon.

CW had the exact same rack priced regularly at $150, on sale for $130.

All of life's choices should be so easy.

Our rig is pretty much 99% Walmart and Amazon. But where else can you find a vintage Truck / Camper salt and pepper shaker that the family just can't live without.

I agree with everyone here as far as pricing.. But sometimes they just have those things you can't find anywhere else.

We did spend $25.00 for a Good Sam Membership while we were there and saved way more than that on the discounts. Plus what the membership can save us over the coming year. There are a few private campgrounds we stay at that do take the GS discounts.

For me, Camping World has been a place for hard to find items and they're often the LOWEST price. Just shop around...

I bought my whole friggin' trailer there!

The accessory selection is vast, but there is much more on the market.

I've found them often lacking when it comes to replacement parts, though...

IMO, CW is a good place to look at new trailers. I would not even think about purchasing one from all the horror stories I read and hear about.

What can possibly be wrong with a company that is being taken over by Marcus Lemonis?

It was just like buying a new car: annoying and exasperating.

Although it was fun when SWMBO and I tag-teamed the salesman!
