My tech completed the re installation of the black water tank which had suffered the effects of a good Samaritan last week- Our fresh water inlet hose ruptured during the overnite hours and a good Samaritan turned off the ruptured hose- Unfortunately, he also turned on the black water flush valve- The tank overfilled and broke loose from the supporting brackets- The tank made a large bang when it slipped down which got me out of bed to assess the damage- Fortunately, the tank did not rupture and the tech was able to re install the tank- A good thing because replacement tanks must be ordered from the factory- It takes a minimum of 4 weeks to have a new tank manufactured [ there is no inventory of replacement tanks because there are too many tank shapes and outlets]- LESSION LEARNED- Do NOT leave flush hose hooked up- JMHO- DD

Went home for lunch today found my tire covers from Amazon at my front door. installed em. Also replaced the door entry key pad. Noticed a small puddle of water under one of the low water drain hoses that comes off of the bottom of the grey water tank, removed plastic fitting some teflon tape reinstalled and done.

Replaced the BBQ that came with the Greyhawk. It wasn't a very good unit to start but lasted 3 years before I pulled the plug on it.

Replaced it with this from Walmart
Better Homes and Gardens Premium Portable Gas Grill - Walmart.com

I pulled the old regulator valve and was amazed to find it could replace the new valve on the new BBQ.

I also drilled out the rivets for the holder brackets and trimmed them down and installed them on the new unit so it still fits in the old holder that mounts to the side rack on the rig.

Haven't had a chance to cook anything yet but ran it to burn off any excess chemicals and it reached over 600F.

BBQ tomorrow nite.

Camper bob, I don't know if I am savey enough to post pictures here but I will try to write something up. It was a pretty simple project and not expensive. Being our Jay Flight had seen 12 years of service before our purchase, the area we covered was beyond cleaning well enough to suit me. It may take me a bit to post this but I will try.We purchased the materials we used at Menards but, other stores carry like items. If you Google "Faux Metal Back splash" you will probably get a better idea of the steps. Travel safe, Dave

We received a shipment today from Amazon of the Anderson leveling blocks (2 sets). There should be another shipment tomorrow with the Cipa strap on tow mirrors. Yay!

Hooked up sewer connection and flushed black tank several times after not flushing it for the past 3 months when dumping. I only dump when the tank is full so there wasn't a backup problem, but I do feel better after a real good flush.

All the snow in my back yard is all gone, so I made an appointment to bring our 2013 Eagle 314BDS to the dealer. Our front cap is fading and I wanted it fixed before camping season started this year.

They promised it will be completed by the end of April.

What Did You Do To Your Jayco TODAY?

Messing around with our brand new 287bhsw yesterday I decided to turn the fridge on and make sure it worked (why wouldn't it?) Well.... It didn't?! No green light on auto or on gas. Opened the service panel and it looked like everything was plugged in properly. So today I called the service department where we purchased the TT and spoke with one of the techs who asked a few questions, one of which was are there two wires connected to the bottom right corner of the black box. Which there wasn't nor were there any disconnected wires in the vicinity. He was puzzled and told me those two wires needed to be plugged into the panel for the the fridge to work. Come to find out it was never hooked up from the factory. I found the wires that were supposed to be piggy tailed to the control panel looped up in a glob of spray foam. He couldn't believe that this could've happened. He asked if I was comfortable adding a piggy tail, which I was. He offered to mail me the pieces I needed to fix the problem, but since they are only 10 minutes away I met him there. He was very confused on how this could have happened and very apologetic. Got home, clipped the piggy tails on and alas I have a working fridge!!

I hope this is a rare incident. Glad I was able to do the simple repair myself, and laugh it off... Mistakes happen and nobody is perfect just hoping this is the only surprise!!!

Just finished installing my closed cell Soft Floor in the oak finish. Takes on the heat of the room so it's not cold to walk on and it's soft on your feet. It's also somewhat of a sound deadenr and not slippery for Tunce now, and that was my main consern.

Replaced the breakaway switch.
Noticed brakes wouldn't lock up when I pulled pin. Traced to switch. If I didn't have jacked up to replace tires would have never noticed! OH NO!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wonder how many people actually had lost their TT going down the road. You'd think the x'tra bars from WDH would keep it on!

Man, that looks really good. Were those tiles 3/8 or 5/8 inches thick? Found some online for $1.49 a sq. foot that look the same as yours.
