Got the bleach/water solution drained & flushed from the fresh water tanks, and 3 loads of laundry done. Just about ready to leave. Today I'll put a little "travel water" in the FW tanks, put a few things away, then give the TV and TT a good vacuuming.

Forgot to mention in yesterday's post that I also did a little repair work on the metal "skirt" that runs around the bottom of the trailer. It was attached to some stabilizing braces with self-tapping sheet metal screws. The braces kept popping off the screws, causing the skirting to "flap" while towing. I used a drill to enlarge the screw holes in the skirting, reinforcing metal, and bracing. Then I changed out the sheet metal screws for small stainless steel bolts, secured by matching stainless steel lock-nuts with nylon inserts. They wont rust (like the sheet metal screws did), they'll hold the skirting to the braces, and should never work loose.

Waxed with entire thing with my new Meguire's DA polisher, and treated the tent ends, rubber and plastics with 303. Let' go camping!

Removed the shelves from the refrigerator, removed a little rust from areas where the original finish had been cracked, scuffed them up and refinished them. While they were out I wiped out the inside with disinfecting wipes. Replaced the shelves this morning and looks pretty good.

After changing the oil in the genny, I looked at the Onan manual to see if any other maintenance was needed.

Looks like I missed the Spark Arrester Cleaning at 150 hrs. So I did that today, Looks like it needs to be done every 50 hours after the 150.

Parked it in the driveway after a successful first trip of the season. Looking forward to many more this year!

I cleaned the low point drain valves and lubed the o-rings with keg lube. Now, they seal like new! I also dewinterized.

Took the cover off and aired up the tires. Spring is FINALLY here😃

Crawled around under my TT looking for problems. Had to remount a wire clip holding the black tank sensor wire- screw holding it had fallen out. Same thing happened to one of the clips holding the copper propane line going to the water heater. That screw broke off. Drilled a hole and remounted it to the frame crossmember with a sheet metal screw.

Failed misrably at my first reese dual cam installation. I accidentally mounted the cam arms 1/2" to far back on the trailer frame. I really didnt think that it woulda make much difference since the cam arm has about 3" or so of adjustment but apparently it makes a huge difference. Ol well ill try again tomorrow if the rain holds of.

I painted the axles and suspension from the long trip up north that knocked some of the factory paint off in the rough December driving conditions from the plant to here, took care of any surface rust, looks like new again. Check for rodent entry and getting ready to spray all suspected accesses of the rodents with foam insulation. Also started to rig up the 20' propane hose for a grill with a quick coupling set up.

Secured a "covered" storage space after being in the open for the last month and a half. Good thing too, spring weather around Dallas is calling for hail next few days!!

Replaced the plastic Thetford toilet with a Dometic 310 porcelain toilet.
Installed a 24" television.

Why did you replace the Thetford, I'm on year 5 with no problems and the gasket is the original one.

I pulled the spark arrestor plug on my generator muffler and am running it under heavy load right now to clean the soot out. When the Onan manual says to use a 7/16" 8 point socket they aren't kidding. It is a 7/16" square head plug and a 6 point or 12 point socket will not work. Fortunately it is a brass plug and wasn't rusted into the muffler threads. I was able to get it out with a 7/16" open end wrench.

I am doing this over gravel since hot cinders on the ground or pine straw or leaves could ruin my whole day.

Getting ready for the fist trip this year, we got 7 weeks scheduled so far.

Cleaned the roof.
Washed it.
Waxed it.
Cleaned the tires.
Aired up the tires.
Dewinterized it.
Flushed the water lines.
Set up the wd hitch for our new truck.

Filled up one of the 30lb propane tanks along with 2 20lb tanks at Suburban Propane. All ready for the camping season now,

Emptied all the storage compartments to air out, charging the house battery, took the old sidekick grill out to make room for the new Weber Q, ran to the parts store to get some cleaner and wax for the GH, pulled some stuff from the upstairs storage in the shed to go thru and put back in the GH, sorted thru the tool bags, ran the gen set for a couple hours just to see if it would start (was lazy during the winter) and DW loaded some inside stuff we had removed for the winter, made the bed up, and cleaned a bit also I believe. Still got a lot to do before the 1st trip the end of this month.

It really happened last night, so I hope it counts. We registered the TT. Afterwards, DH and I went out to dinner to celebrate and I had too many Heinikens(reason why I didn't post last night). We have 3 more weeks until we take possesion and the waiting is unbearable.

I raised the drain pipe on the fresh water tank and the propane outlet used for the gas grill on our Melbourne. I think now there is a lesser chance of bottoming them out on rough roads.
