Been pretty busy last two weeks. However, today I checked all systems on the new 20MRB to start a Punch List for the dealer. Well, dang! So far, everything works as it should!

Putzing with the television and integrated DVD/AM/FM etc. Noticed that watching standard broadcast, the sound does not go through the ceiling speakers. DVD playing and the sound is through the ceiling speakers.

Jensen TV speakers sound tinnier than a 1960s Japanese transistor radio.

Oh well, two audio cables and one removal of the player should fix it!

(Happy that's all I have to complain about!)

Replaced another string in one of my day/night blinds. It gets pretty easy after doing it so many times. I've switched to using Mason's string instead of trying to find the "right" kind of blind cord. Works well. At least, good enough for me.

Sanitized and flushed the Fresh Water system (yesterday). Turned on the heat at 5 AM as the temperature dropped below freezing. Will finish packing it up this morning and leave this afternoon for a weekend of camping.

Changed the oil in genset and engine in prep for a trip to Texas. Eliminated unnecessary weight restowed gear for convenience. Nice being retired!

Found all tires to be 15 psi lower than recommended. Brought them up to pressure. Hope to increase mileage. Evicted a family or wasps from the water heater access.

Can't wait to get going next week.

Hey Jeremy, Sorry I just saw your post now.

So when I bought my X20E, it came with the TV Mount installed on the shelf above the fridge. The mount is secured to the base. The mount itself swings from left to right but it does not tilt down. That's a problem for watching tv because the viewing angle is not great and with these flat screens, it's important to have a good viewing angle. It was also hard on our necks because we had to look up and almost stretch to see the TV in terms of picture quality.

So I went out to a local store called the Source (Radio Shack) and bought the mount shown in the following image. I removed the TV off existing mount, Used a couple of self Tapping screws to attach back part of the mount to the existing mount, then attached the front part to the TV and put it all back together. So now I have the ability to TILT the TV up/down +5degree <-> -15 Degrees down as well as keeping the original ability to swing left to right. It is now much more comfortable to view the TV with straining necks/backs eyes.

I haven't done anything to my Jayco, yet. I'm kinda waiting for the weather to clear more than 1 day at a time to do some mods. I've purchased a few new items for it that I can't do it in one day. I'm not as fast as I used to be. Here's a few items I've bought.
Lend a Hand grab handle for the front door,
Wingman antenna booster,
vent cover for the bathroom vent,
and a Tornado black tank flush.
That's enough to get me started. LOL!

Drove home today from 8 days in Waynesville, NC. We left a few days early cause it was forecast-ed to rain this weekend there. Well we are home and it's raining here too.

Troubleshooting a flaky problem with my fridge. It shuts off when on gas, I am sure it is a bad push on connection and will find it tomorrow.

Sanitized and flushed the system on the GH yesterday, checked the psi in the tires, dug some more stuff out of the various hiding places in preparation of 1st trip of the year the end of April. Also scrubbed the roof and got it done for the summer (I hope). Today I washed the GH in preparation of waxing the monster this weekend if the weather will cooperate with me.

Torqued the lug nuts to spec and so glad I did. Inflated tires. Traveled to a full hookup site at a PA state park to complete dewinterization and sanitize the fresh water system.

Baked a pizza in the oven for the kids, using a pre made pizza crust.

We planned to dewinterize our Jayco today. Planned is the key word here. Hooked up the city water connection and I went inside to check all plumbing connections. When the DW turned on the water a LARGE leak was noted on the ionside of the connection. After much scraping and inventing some new words, got the old silicone off and was able to remove the old inlet. After breaking the tiny plastic clip that hel the inlet pipe in the flange, a high speed trip, 25 miles, to Camping World we returned home and I installed the new unit. DW turned on the water and a small drip appeared at the connection. I CAN NOT tighten the joints anymore. I teflon taped the joints first. Now it was getting dark and I was ready to stop. Tomorrow morning I will make a 20 mile run to Menards, get another plastic nipple, GOOD teflon tape and some non harding joint compound and once again we will TRY to dewinterize !! Wow, I am having a great time camping !!LOL!!

Congratulations on being retired. It is the best job I have ever had.....smile!

I changed my Designer tires from the original Marathons to G614's two years ago. The Marathons always lost a few psi while being parked for a few weeks and the G614's never change. I always check them anyway and I have a TPMS, but the fact that they hold air longer between trips amazes me.

I replaced my mattress today

I replaced my mattress with one from these guys. Let me tell you what a difference it was. If you want to have some great people to deal with please call. I have rounded corners on the lower half and could not find anything that I liked and the person hat I talked to was a great help.

They had me measure the old one and helped me select out the foam and cover. I did not even think about the cover, but they told me that it would be good to use a cool-max cover that is zipped so it can be removed and cleaned.

The mattress cam in only 5 days from Colorado to California. It arrived FedEx and was rolled and packed in a small (6 foot by 18 inch box); I opened the box and found the mattress rolled in a paper with tape holding the shape.

Took inside the RV laid out and removed the packing to find the mattress vacuumed pack in a bag. Opened the bag and look out the mattress expanded out to the full 11 inches thick in lest then 5 minutes.
Let me say, if you are thinking about a new mattress think about t giving MattressInsider.Com a call. And also there was free shipping.

Chuck

Made the bed, turned the frig on to cool. Loading clothes and provisions Sunday afternoon. Heading out Thursday morning for 5 days in Myrtle Beach. Meeting my Full-timing parents at Ocean Lakes. My brother is joining us too. Just a typical spur of the moment family reunion... We even lucked out and got adjoining sites.

Mine did that the first trip this year. I found it to be an air bubble in the propane line. Got everything re-bled and it seems to be running fine now.

That's great! We are sooo looking forward to being able to just look at each other, nod, and start packing. With the PUP, it's a lot of trouble to load, as have to almost completely set it up before we can get in to put anything in the 'fridge or pantry. We don't do spontaneous, and we don't go out for less than three nights. Our camping patterns will change once we get the TT. Love hearing about the fun others are having in the meantime!

We went into Houston to check on our unit and see what condition it was in after last night's bad storms in the area. Happy to say, it was in great shape with no discernible damage... I'm relieved since it's at a consignment place that has lots of foot traffic.

I have eliminated that as a problem. Sometimes it works, others not. Moving the wires around seems to fix it for a leg of the trip, next time its out.

Thanks for the suggestions.
