Worked on sealing holes from mice. Had a mouse about a month ago, caught it in a old fashioned mouse trap. Afterwards I sealed all of the openings I could contort my body into with HVAC aluminum foil tape - no mouse for weeks. Today, as I was getting the TT ready for a trip tomorrow I found the peanut butter on a a trap I left (just in case) had been eaten and a roll of paper towels was mangled. I went in search of other openings I had missed and sealed everything I possibly could with the aluminum foil tape. Hoping to catch the little rodent in the trap tonight and that openings are sealed.

As I opened panels, compartments, etc. I find that the craftsmanship behind the scenes is terrible. If all TT are left open around drain pipes, water pipes, etc. like mine is, it is a wonder this forum is not filled daily with people having mice problems.

Just a note. I used dryer sheets, peppermint oil and Fresh Cab in my TT and the mice still came. Frustrating but I am gonna win this.

Dewinterized and sanitized it for the first time. Not as difficult as it thought. Installed TV bracket and 24 in TV. Also not as hard I was making out to be.

Added a key rack and paper towel holder. I hung the rack high to make the cubby a little hiding place also. We've had the trailer one year now and still finding little things to make things easier.

Made another 2 batches of ice; the ice tub is gettin' full! Filled the FW tank (well, not full, but we like to have some water in there for "incidentals", 'bout half full)

Tonight DW grocery shops, and I top off the fuel in the truck and get her all hitched up and ready to go!

Wow, there sure is a whole load of spaghetti wires in there. Jayco does little to no wire management....maybe a few pieces of electrical tape is all. I cleaned it up some but ran out of plastic ties. Still not sure where to mount the remote,
And the really cool part is that it actually works! Am I now an electrician or what? NOT.
I thought the same thing when I removed my power panel to install mine. I also had to clean up some of the connections at the bus bar that were barely hanging on or had too much wire stripped back.

I just did something stupid. I thought it would be a good idea to put my box fan in front of the bedroom egress window. Got it set up and the window opening lever slipped and rammed through my box fan. It broke one of the fan blades and broke off most of the red plastic latch on the window lever end.

JB Weld to the rescue -- AGAIN!

Bought two T-105, locally, and other assorted goodies, online, to convert to 6 volt.

Spent 30 minutes looking for a remote and some clothes that my wife left in the rig from our last trip.

- Drained some oil out of my generator because I found that the dealer overfilled it. (sigh)
- Tried to figure out why my generator hour meter only turns on when the start button is pressed. I think the start/stop switch is miswired. The generator starts correctly, so I think two of the leads are swapped (i.e., the start lead and the lighted switch lead) but didn't have the time to look into it further.

I read about a fix in the iRV2 forum regarding a clicking in the front left wheel. Why i did not search this forum before now for answers, I have no idea. Won't happen again!!

What did I do to my Jayco today? .... Absolutely nothing - not for lack of trying - every thing I touched turned to poop today.

Started to put a PMW dimmer on the outside LED lights - couldn't find the common wire for the LEDs only the +12v in the cavity behind the microwave. Tried to gain access to the location where they pass from the exterior to the interior. No access at that spot. Removed the radio to see if I could get at it there and got side tracked....
... taking the radio out I hit the button and turned it on. Found only the interior speakers are working, the outside ones are dead. So I played with that a while - no solution.... back to the LED exterior dimming job...
... continued searching and have almost concluded that the common wire gets bussed together with other common wires - probably somewhere in the wall or ceiling. Will have another stab at it tomorrow.

On to next LED project. RGB LEDs in the bunk ends.... except I just realized the the controller is not a standard 1 gang size so I now have to fab a box to fit this thing or it will look like a wart hanging off the overhead storage... or redesign my original plan.

That was enough partially completed jobs for one night. I'll take a fresh stab at this tomorrow. *sigh*.

Over the course of the past week I have replaced a broken shear bolt on my dinette slide, repaired a short on the motor blue lead wire (about 1/2 inch of insulation had rubbed off of it!) of the entertainment slide, and reset the barrel pin on the left front landing gear's gear which had fallen out! I'd feel worse if I was negligent on maintenance, but I tend to have OCD when it comes to maintenance.

Sure am glad I bought Jayco's top of the line 5th wheel trailer (sarcasm intended)! Yes, I'm a frustrated Jayco owner.
