Had an issue with the Norcold Fridge. Wasn't cooling in the fridge and food in the freezer was starting to thaw. Had a couple of RVTechs come in and both said the cooling was fubared and needed replacing.

Mentioned it to a local guy in the park he suggested try tapping on the coils in the back to see if something was blocking the gas. He tapped all over the cooling system 3 times and it started to work.

Not sure if this is a long term fix, we will see but it's working so far.

You might not be using it enough and I think you have sediment in the lines.

I measured it again, precisely this time. Actually got out a ladder and measured at the top where the awning and drip spouts are.

Measuring at the bottom and just sighting the additional width at the top I had figured it wouldn't fit in my shop.I was disappointed because I've had 2 other travel trailers and a motorhome in there through that door.

After the precise measurement I have at least 3 inches clearance on each side, so it's doable with a spotter and I won't have to put up another building. They're getting $350 per month for inside rv storage around here and no way I'd pay that.

Used a rubber mallet to reshape the black metal trim of the bunk door after noticing the consequence of failing, despite trying, to shoo away a horse scratching the back of its neck on said deployed bunk door. To give context, we just returned from Assateague NP. Of all the things that could happen...

Tuesday we took it back to the dealer - DW got the chance to drive the TV for the first time, and now thinks she's a pro - for the electrical work that needs done. Wednesday, ordered a rug for the kitchen area. Today, getting a circuit tester we can use on grounded plugs.

Added a second additional outlet between the dinette and couch.
Moved the clothes rod in the mater closet 4" forward so I can close the doors without holding cloths back.
Started polishing the faded front cap.

I removed the factory overflow hose, replaced it with a new hose clamped to the vent port of the gravity fill inlet and caulked the hole in the floor.

I replaced the broken faucet coupler on the cold water shank. After tightening and then breaking the one on the hot side, I got the privilege of replacing that one too. The factory ones seemed cheap and thin compared to the set I bought at True Value.

Can't do anything to it 'cause it's in the shop, but ... the Persian-look carpet we ordered for the kitchen (and that coordinates with the one we got for in front of the couch) has arrived, and so has its new license plate. :-)

Gave it a good wash and applied the aerospace 303. Looks pretty good. Should have taken a "before" picture.

Flushed out the black with a "wand" inside, drained everything and washed it out from the outside valve.

Tank indicator still shows 3/4 full! I give up again.

Crawled under the TT and checked all the propane fittings for leaks with a little Dawn detergent and water. No leaks.

Also went around the perimeter and tightened up all the 9/16 nuts that connect the ends of the crossmembers to the the TT sidewalls. All were loose, and it's something that everyone should check, especially the nuts holding the entry steps to the TT.

While I was grovelling on the asphalt I looked closely at the leaf spring assemblies, brake wiring and inner sidewalls of the tires. No problems detected.

I am heading to Quartzsite in a month, and it's time to make sure my good ol' 26BH is in roadworthy condition

And also... I bought a new fulltimer insurance policy, which includes $100K liability. $454 bucks a year. It also includes $20k coverage for items in my storage unit. I'll sleep a little better tonight.

Hey Bob- Just saw your note about Trinidad, sorry I took so long. You probably already went but I'll tell you about our trip anyway.
First, I was truly surprised and pleased at how nice this State Park really is. We got one of only 6 full hookup sites (#6) and were somewhat secluded. Not on the lake but next to hiking trails. Saw deer and a million rabbits right there with hummingbirds all over (Had a feeder up). Rest rooms were spacious and very clean. but I had never seen pay showers in a State Park CG. We used ours....afterall that's why we have a self contained TT.
Rained a lot so didn't go fishing but most of the time they say the fishing is pretty good. No real tall pine trees but lots of shrubs and bushes with some shade. It's only a few miles out of town so Wallyworld is close by for supplies. Water was good and the power was clean (have a Progressive EMS HW just in case).
Would like to go back for a week sometime next year to go fishing.
If you get there, drop me a line and tell me your thoughts.
Happy RVing,
Jeff
