Started having problems with my Honda EU2000i generator. It would run for several hours, then stop as if it ran out of gas. Tank was full.

Opened it up, cleaned the in-line fuel filter and cleaned the fuel tank. Ran it again, and after a few hours it stopped.

Removed the carburetor, cleaned the main jet (it had some gunk in it) and sprayed the rest clean with carb cleaner. Ran it again for several hours, and it started surging again, like it was out of gas. I switched it out of ECO mode for a few minutes so it sucked more fuel, and that seemed to help. When I put it back in ECO mode it ran OK.

I think the problem was caused by my treating the gas with Sea Foam fuel treatment. My theory is that the Sea Foam loosened up some varnish and gunk in the fuel lines, causing the jet to get plugged up. Shouldn't have used it, I guess. Never did before.

Picked up our rig yesterday from a local repair shop after having the cooling unit replaced. The fridge is sure getting cold now! While I had it there, I had them install the EMS and the peace of mind was worth the cost.

Replaced a busted toilet seat bolt. Always carry a spare. I didn't.

Also found a squeak in the back that has been driving us nuts for 3 days. It was a broom leaning on the back ladder.

We gave ours a good cleaning last night in preparation for our trip to TMS the second week of November. We also took inventory of our supplies and made us a shopping list.

I hitched it up to the truck yesterday and put my new Andersen levelers under it for the first time. That's a great product.

Gave her the semi-annual bath. Roof looks good and now all the poop is scrubbed off the sides. (Darned birds). Put her to bed for the winter. Just gotta retract the awning once it has air dried. I agree this is a sad time of year.

Brought our TT from storage to the house Thursday, in preparation of a trip to River Plantation CG in Sevierville/Pigeon Forge. Washed the outside, cleaned windows, and adjusted a poorly hung door between the living area and the bathroom. Leaving Sunday morning from south central Ohio. Returning Thursday, at which time we'll have to winterize.

Cheers,
Greg

Dumped waste tanks and filled fresh water tanks, so I can start the process again. Bought a couple of quarts of synthetic oil for my Honda generator. Refilled my hummingbird feeder, too.

Due to cold snap tonight, drain lines and water heater of all water, drop some anti-freeze
into both tanks and down drains just to be sure. Not ready to winterize just yet. Pleasant weather to return next week. Going to head to Ol Cape Cod one more time this weekend, Gotta try out the new (to me) TV. 2011 F150 Screw 4X4, 6.5' bed, 5.0 with a 3.55 rear akle. Will look out for shudder in low speed when in tow that I have been hearing about recently that seems to be inherent in this vehicle. Fingers crossed.

I removed the folding steel cover over the stove before driving on a 500 mile round trip. Without the cover the rattle trap was suddenly quiet.
Next change will be to add a cutting board to replace the steel cover.

Coming up on the two year mark, and had four very minor warranty issues. Two of the window shades had broken cords; the wire from the igniter to one of the burners on my cook top had a break in it; and the notorious CO/Propane detector was going off about once an hour (so I removed it). I had called the dealer 3 times over six days in June, but couldn't get anyone to call me back. So, I showed up at the dealership last week and demanded to speak with the Service Manager. After apologies were accepted, he agreed to send the blinds into a local repair shop, and take the ignition wire and CO/Propane detector out of stock. I picked everything up on Thursday, and installed them on Friday.

Now, my shades stay up, my cook top burner lights, and the alarm is silent with a constant green light (to show that it's working). In my book, such minor issues after 1-1/2 years of full-timing, are a tribute to Jayco quality!

Cleaned both a/c's from the roof. The rear one started leaking inside a couple of days ago. The drain pan was plugged up. The last time this happened was early summer 2013 so I can't complain.

Aired up all 4 tires in preparation for the trip to Talladega day after tomorrow.

Retrieved the water filter and the Keurig, to bring inside so that they don't freeze. Had forgotten about those two things when I winterized last week

Had to retract the awning. There was some heavy weather 20 miles away, and strong dust devils just a few hundred yards from me. I'd hate for a dust devil to rip my awning to shreds.

Also, I'm giving my batteries a full charge with my Xantrex charger. After it's fully charged, I'll run the batteries through an equalize session.

And I climbed up the roof and attempted to adjust the FM antenna so I would get better reception of my favorite classic rock station. Truck radio picks it up well, but the crappy Jensen is hit or miss. Think I need a new radidio.

While up on the ladder, I checked the sealant around the skylight, too.
