Moved the batteries behind the Propane Tanks and went to dual 31 series batteries.
Had to make a new battery tray, but old bed frames are good for that (****house steel hard to drill). Since the spare is under the A-frame and the old battery tray was used for the carrier to hook up I have to do this now on the propane tank tray.
Easter will be the first outing and I am sure there will be frost at night.
One 27 series battery would not hold up for the whole night. I still have a couple of weeks to finish all the mods and then have to think of a few more.

Bought a new Weber charcoal grill that can also be carried to the beach. I'll keep it in the tub while I'm on the road so I also purchased a plastic tote to store it in. It's called the Weber Go Anywhere Grill.

Nice, I have not seen one of those yet. My Lil Smokey is the only charcoal one I have left.

Would you be able to post pics?

sebring96hbg; as soon I have everything sprayed in matt black I will post it. Today a couple of inches snow which delays everything. But tomorrow they call for sunshine again.
Today is a good day to round up some hardware again. Those pipe pedestal tables always wiggle so will see what I can round up for that.

Tunce,

I just got the same grill ( arrived yesterday ). Pretty slick. All of 5 minutes to assemble. There are several YouTube vids showing how people pack it full of goodies for travel.

Dealer called to let me know that the new roof is done, body damage is fixed and the new awning has been installed....darn pole jumped out and hit the side of 5er when pulling out of storage! Some of the warranty items have been remedied, but others are waiting on parts from Jayco. I was told this could take up to 3 months! So I will pick her up on Saturday and return her to storage. I will keep an eye out for that pesky pole this time!

The bottom is level with the lower part of the bumper and no higher than the AC unit, which is less than most 5th wheels.

As for the screws, it's meant to handle more 250 lbs so no worry there as the kayak weighs 30 lbs.

Thanks for the tip on You Yube. Think I'm really going to like this one.

I had a tech replace all 4 backing plate assemblies, all 8 wheel bearings and all 4 hubs- It turned out that the maintenance was very much needed- The brake linings were toast, the magnets were still serviceable and the bearings were still good- I have the brakes serviced every other year- This entails removing the hubs to inspect the hubs, brake linings and magnets for any weaknesses- This is approx. 20k between services- JMHO- DD

Over the last week I've been cleaning the inside, de-winterizing and keeping the windows open to air it out a bit. Already booked a weekend camping trip (local) for later this month.

Replaced mechanical thermostat for heater with a simple 2-wire digital. Works beautifully. Began looking at where I want to tap into the DC to power up the LED awning strip.

Rig Mods this week on my Whitehawk 27 DSRL

This weekend I worked on a few mods including finishing the bed platform which is now able to hold a 60 x 80 queen bed vs. the short queen, also put in a new bathroom faucet from Price Phister and installed the new Oxygenics showerhead................
