If you're draining from your waste tanks, yeah, people don't need to see that. But then you should only be doing that if your tanks are clean. I know my tanks are clean from when I winterized them, so it's clean, clear water coming out of my waste valves (except for a little red right at the beginning from the non-toxic RV antifreeze).

But your other low point drains should be fine. It might look a bit wasteful, but it's just fresh water diluted with a little bleach. If you use too much bleach, I also wouldn't let it just drain on the ground until I could get it diluted enough or let it sit long enough for the chlorine in the bleach to evaporate (hard to do in a closed tank, but chlorine bleach doesn't last long when exposed to sunlight in an open container).

Yeah, I know a thing or two about droughts. We are just coming out of one that lasted over a decade in Texas. I don't know what to say about sanitizing while conserving water, those two don't really go together as far as I know. Other than maybe skip it?

I forgot to mention that we don't drink the water from our trailer. At the beginning of each season, we exchange a 5-gallon water cooler bottle and refill it each trip at $1 each fill. So sanitizing the tanks is not a show stopper for us.

I do want to sanitize as we have never done it to our new trailer which is 6+ months old already. Just don't want complaints from neighbors IYKWIM. 😉

Not a show stopper for us either. We drink from filtered water out of spigot and I bought a Brita pitcher.

Today, once again, I looked out my window to see our beautiful new 23RBM sitting in the driveway next to the house and longing for the day (in the very near future I hope) to be looking at her sitting in the woods at a forest service park.

Getting ready to make my second cup and continue surfing as I do every morning. It is going to be another hot one here today on the Florida Gulf Coast, but my 2 a/c's work well.

Inaugural trip of the season this weekend. Left Thursday came home this morning. Great weekend on the North Fork of the Shoshone. But campgrounds were packed, first time I have ever seen that. Returned home and figured out how to take sliding bedroom doors off. I hate the things. Always helps if you sleep on an idea. Took about 30 minutes. Both doors stored in garage. I hated the fact you had to close door to turn tv. Then if you were in bed and wanted to watch tv you have to close both doors, and every trip to fridge or toilet meant opening door and blocking tv. Well no more. Removed two buttons on trim, removed two screws on trim, unlocked the two pins on top of door, pulled the door out and put trim back on,. Happy Camper!

I think an accordion type door on the support post of the entertainment center would work far better. The columns appear hollow, so you could recess both accordion type doors.

I got to try out my Shub Shower screen, it leaked along the base of the trim! Pulled out the caulking gun, problem resolved, I do like it better than the curtain.

My 2014 DSBH has curtains on either side. Maybe not as "private" as doors, but do the trick!

Did the monthly generator maintenance run for an hour. Hooked it up to the trailer and ran the AC on low for a bit to give it some load.

I now will do the same. Mine have been serviced but haven't ran in about 6 months.

I always run mine on the first of the month so tomorrow is my day. And as hot as it is here right now I won't have a problem putting a load on it. Two a/c's for an hour will definitely do it. Or maybe I'll do it early in the morning and only run one a/c and save a few ounces of gasoline.

My Jayco got used as the guest house this weekend for the Freedom Balloon Festival. Mom & Dad are here for one more night before they head back to Florida. Was able to get off one picture of the Jayco with a balloon.

Put fresh batteries in everything that takes them, stocked it up for this weekend and scrubbed the awning. Why did they put all WHITE awnings on these things?? WHEW!!

Ordered a new fresh water hose for it; one of the good blue ones with the machined ends. The park I'm going to has a long run to the spigot, and I'm tired of daisy chaining my old hoses together out there. That and my "backup" hose is complete junk. Will be glad not to have to use it any more, and turn my current primary hose into my "backup".

While we're out this weekend, I'm going to try to find some time to install my accumulator tank. It's been sitting on my workbench for months waiting for me to get a chance to install it.

This being the first of the month:

Ran generator for 1.0 hrs with 2 a/c's running.
Emptied black and gray tanks.
Switched Norcold and Water heater to propane for a few hours to make sure they would work on propane.

All worked fine and I'm good for another 30 days.

I installed a Maxxair Maxxfan in place of the tiny bathroom fan. So far I really like it. The Maxxair vent I had was too small so I ordered the Maxxair 2 vent. Now will wait patiently for it to come so I can finish the job.
