Bit slow off the mark this season, however finally de-winterized the Hybrid over the weekend, sanitized the freshwater lines/tank and installed the Battery/Propane tanks. Heading out July 3rd for a week, then home and off again for two weeks last week of July/August. Can't wait to get this Camping season started.

I have park duty for the next few days and my food supply was a bit thin so I went out and spent $275.00. Not all on food, but other stuff that I was out of also. Shelves are full again as is my fridge.

Second time using the black tank rinse the anti-backflow device leaked as many say they do. Spent about three dollars at home depot and by-passed it. Now it rinses the black tank very well with no leaks.

put bed lifters in so we can dispense with propping the bed up with a board.. Testing it this weekend. Doing this ought to make the below bed cavern more accessible without going out and pawing into it.

Also blocked off the little slot that allows you to drop the tv remote or phone between the bed into the itty space between the freshwater tank and the plywood wall down there,
Fishing at 2 am is not a favorite hobby

Returned all the stuff I borrowed out of it this past weekend to participate in the BBQ competition. Everything is back as it should be.

Just waxed it after my 4,580 mile trip down the west coast and many stops in between. Still looks good for being 6 years old, myself well that's another story.

Found the fitting that connects the hose from the shower head to the faucet has a large crack in it so ordered a new shower head and hose unit. I never liked the one it came with - no on/off lever which makes it rather pointless when trying to conserve on water use. Also ordered a second Maxx-Air cover for the bathroom vent.

installed a solar panel to maintain the battery during storage. Just got TT last month and happy to see a full charge still on the battery. Also discovered the blade fuse for the tongue lift was blown. Put new fuse in to verify lift and front lights work, then pulled the fuse as a "poor man's disconnect switch". TT is in public storage and don't need someone flipping a light switch on to drain the battery.

Turned on both vent fans after the work on the septic tank was completed. I had all dump valves closed during the entire process, but still got some septic tank odor inside. I was downwind of the open tank and 30' away from it.

Interesting fact about this tank. It was the septic tank for a bathhouse on this location prior to a new bathhouse being built down the road. The one on this location was demolished and two RV sites were added. So you can imagine this septic tank was a big one. The septic guy said he had never seen one this large. It was actually in two sections. The first section was 3'w x 8'd x 12'l. The second section was 3'w x 3'd x 12'l. When they started pumping they pumped and pumped and pumped and the level in the tanks barely went down. That is when they realized how big this tank was. After it was empty they had pumped 5,800 gallons. I doubt two RV's will ever put a strain on it.

Why did it require maintenance? It hadn't been pumped since approx 2002 when the old bathhouse was demolished and current park staff didn't even know it was there. They thought the 2 RV sites were tied into the sewer system for the park. So it was pretty nasty. How was it found? I was parking a utility trailer by my site and drove my pickup across the buried lid and broke it.

All is back to normal this morning and they now know where this septic tank is located and it is in operation.

Prepping for 5-day Independence Day weekend at our usual place. Nice mix of quiet and friends:

Inspected, lubed and adjusted all 4 sets of wheel bearings. Adjusted tire pressure.

Darn, forgot pressure in the spare. Gotta get to that tonight after loading the fridge.

My workweek as a campground maintenance host is over, so I'm reading a good book and browsing the internet, with a 7&7 within close reach.

Monday and Tuesday were pretty tough workwise. I split wood with a hydraulic splitter and filled a couple of firewood shacks at the camp host's sites. I was hurting little after doing that.

Today was easier (by design) and I just picked up trash, rode the riding mower, and repaired a broken support column that holds up the roof of one of the equipment sheds.

I have replaced the bulbs that I use frequently/daily with LED's. I have not replaced any of the recessed ceiling fixture bulbs because I can't find any that I like and I use these so little I really don't care if they are incandescent. One problem is they are on dimmers and I don't think the dimmers are LED friendly so, they just stay incandescent.
