Yeah, I would say those dimmable LEDs would be a tough find for a direct, plug & play replacement.

I'm almost done with my LED conversion. I have about 4 or 5 more fixtures to do...

Planning to stay home for the holiday weekend, but going to pick up the trailer from storage next week for an outing!

No camping for us this weekend. We now have a puppy, so we are prepping the trailer for her. Picked up a carrier crate and found a location for use. Also picked up food & water bowls and a leash specific for the camper. the majority of the campgrounds around here do not allow the retractable leashes, so we have a 6 footer hanging in the trailer now.

This being the first of the month I: switched my Norcold to propane, water heater to propane, and ran the Onan for 1 hour with two a/c's running. I do this every month without fail. The Norcold and water heater will be switched back to electric tomorrow morning. Then the fun started.

I noticed last evening just before dark there was a nest of some kind being built on top of my big slide under the cover. It was dark by the time I saw it (from the bedroom window which is high enough to see all the way down the slide). While the generator was running I go a ladder got a good look. It was obviously a large nest under construction using tree leaves still attached to 6-8" pieces of branch. Obviously not a bird. I did have a tree branch that was rather close to the rear ladder. Sooooooo, Gas powered tree limb trimmer and the offending branch is gone. 8' ladder and a Gas powered leaf blower. Up the ladder I went from the rear since the nest is on the front and what did I see? The squirrel was on the nest rustling around organizing. Insert nozzle of leaf blower between the slide roof and the awning and squeezed the trigger at the same time and 150 mph air heads down the top of the slide. The nest material, approx 1/2 bushel, and the squirrel went out the other end. I looked around the side of the slide just in time to see the squirrel disappear into the woods.

I feel much better now and all monthly maintenance is done.

Ordered pin and clip kit for our Equalizer hitch bars from Amazon. I want to have them on hand as spares. Also ordered dog treats.

I know I'm such a nice guy, but that 10-11' drop to the ground ruined his/her day I assure you. Besides, I eliminated the on ramp to my rig first. I hope.

We returned from our spur of the moment trip to Cherry Springs State Park--dark sky park. We packed our telescope and camped on the astronomy field. It was a great time and a good test of the solar panels since RV hookups are prohibited.

We enjoyed clear skies and spectacular views. And, now, back to work...

I didn't do anything to the rig yesterday and won't today unless it turns out to be black tank dump time. I'm just glad both a/c's are working well. I may clean the filters later today, but that is done inside. It is too darn hot to do much else.

Replaced the bumper caps with the Camco "No-Insect" model. Haven't had a problem there yet but would rather prevent it than deal with it after it occurs. Also replaced the hand-held shower head and hose with a Camco model that includes a thumb-slide to shut the water flow off. The original unit did not have the shut off and the fitting on the faucet end was cracked and leaking.

Still pending is installation of a second MaxxAir vent which will have to wait for a dryer day than today.... Next trip out is in a couple of weeks so should get it done before then.

Brought it home from storage. Tested the brakes on the way home; from 20 mph, I was able to stop the whole rig with the manual slider in about 50 yards (est). Checked the mounting nuts/bolts under the trailer and tightened as necessary. Discovered that my primary propane tank is empty, so dismounted it and it's ready to go get filled. That's our second 30 lb tank in almost 3 years, so our propane usage isn't too bad (or we're not using the trailer enough!)

Examined one of the pigtails from propane tank to regulator that's looking pretty ratty (the other was replaced in the first year under warranty, it still looks good), so I ordered a replacement pigtail and adapter fitting to be here tomorrow (about $15 on Amazon for the pigtail and adapter). I'll mount it up "in the field" this weekend if I don't get a chance to do it in the driveway.

Still have a lot to do!!
