Towed it home from the coast. Lucky weekend; had a tail wind BOTH ways! When does THAT ever happen?! No freeze warnings (despite early weather predictions), in fact, we almost had to run the air conditioner.
Emptied it out and washed all the linens last night. In the next few days, it gets a good, deep cleaning and then gets winterized for the "long sleep" until our busy season at work is over, some time in May.

I mounted some removable solar motion lights over the weekend. We do mostly dry camping and wanted more lights outside at night without using more battery. When these are removed all that is left is a small bracket. I put one forward and aft of the awning so they will charge during the day with the awning out as the entire top of them are one big solar panel. I also started on partitioning the pass-through from under the foot of the bed. This will get luan on both sides and will be insulated with 1" foam board. The side on the pass-through will be thicker board and will be the mounting point for hanging tools and stuff. Hopefully between the partition and insulating everything we will have less cold drafts from under the bed during winter camping. I'm also planning on doing the same to the rear bunk by putting 1" foam on the underside of the bottom bunk.

My wife found them on Amazon for me as a deal-of-day thing. She was keeping an eye out for some type of low profile solar lights for me when those popped up and she grabbed a pair for me. I figured I could just remove them when not in use. Don't know if there are rules against posting links to Amazon (some forums I belong too don't allow it), but if you search "Nekteck Solar Lights" you should be able to find them. They are very bright, they will stay on all night in one mode and the second mode will keep them on too, but will dim when no motion is sensed, allowing them to last through the night. I'm thinking about buying 2 more for the other side. I have the rear one mounted with 3M tape, the front one is mounted with 3M automotive tape and a single 1.5" stainless screw into a wall stud, as I already had an issue there with the siding bowing out a bit. (And thus why that one has sealant on it in the picture.)
I was going to get some of the Tri-Lynx solar lights as they are one of the only lights in that style available in white, but I thought I would give these removable ones a try.

Haven't done anything to it since we brought it home and unloaded it. I guess I'm putting off the inevitable winterization. Don't really want to face that reality.

Opened the side flap on the adco cover and spent a few minutes checking things out inside. This is the first time I've been in it since covering it in early November. No signs of condensation or other issues so all is good. Back to looking at places to go when spring rolls around....

As far as what did I do to my Jayco today? Sadly, I took it to the dealership where we traded it in on a new 2017 trailer (ahem..... an SOB, some other brand)..... O.K. it's a Coachmen Apex 269RBKS.

Over the weekend I continued working on the pass through insulation project, didn't get very far with limited time and daylight. I should probably create a thread documenting this mod and the others I have planned.
The last photo shows 2 new 1x2s to create a ledge that the bed platform will rest on to seal the edge of the mattress so stuff stops falling into the pass through, as well as stop cold drafts. I still have to address how to seal above the new partition wall. The underside of the bed platform will get foam as well, probably 2 layers (2 inches total). Basically everything you see under here will have foam and then luan except for the front and side walls.

Not really what I did, but the dealer called and said the glass shower doors have been replaced and the new supports have been installed under the heavy kitchen slide. They are just waiting on the new motor to arrive for the central vac...no date yet.

Hi Gerald, we got 4" of snow here on the 14th. Actually had to shovel the drive for the first time this year. Of course as you know, we're in the deep freeze now. I looked up your unit on Coachmens website and it looks great. Love the opposing slides and island sink. Best of luck with your new Apex. Terry

I turned my Vornado heater back on as it's supposed to be at freezing in the morning.

I replaced the cheap (and cracked) kitchen sink with a stainless steel one in my Hummingbird 17FD. Also reworked the drain plumbing under the sink.
The drain plumbing (from the factory) was in such a bind it created stress cracks in the plastic sink around the lip of the drain. Not sure why they don't come with stainless steel sinks to begin with instead of a very thin ABS plastic one.

New to me 2015 26 bhw
Installed peg board on the front end of the camper pass through and finished adding the shelving above the dining table. Next remodel the rear storage to make it more usable. Anybody got any ideas.

Installed the keyless lock system by RV Lock today on our Designer Legacy 3590 RLTS. It only works the deadbolt from the remote, I thought both door locks could be operated.
I also rebuilt the screen door with a Camco Grab Bar, new screen material, and a grill on the bottom section to keep the dogs from tearing up the lower section. Ran the generator as well as the heater and all was well in that department. Next, I have to rebuild the toilet, yippee.

Santa brought DW a fancy new camp chair. So it'll go in the trailer, and I'll do a "storage check" while I'm there. I'm sure everything's fine, but I like to check on it about every 2 weeks while it's in long-term storage.
