Installed the battery, picked up a bunch of dryer sheets, finished flushing the water lines, and DW took out some stuff she said "we'll never need".

Friday - pulled both drums, removed all brake components, cleaned back plate and all contact points good. Then applied brake component grease to all contact points and re-assembled.

Saturday - hitched it up and towed it about 50 miles to check the brakes and bearings.

Today - used some Dicor No-Sag to fill in a couple of questionable spots along the curb-side front trim.

After arrival at Ft Wilderness I found two light fixtures had come apart. One was the wall sconce that required just screwing it back together. After just over 11,000 miles total towing it seems the last 700 finally worked it loose. Now the bigger problem fixture....

The one over the dinette came apart. Nothing fell and broke, but the fixture just unscrewed itself. I removed the lens and figured I would remove it from the slide ceiling to make it easier to work with on the table - WRONG! Jayco ran the wires from the ceiling straight down into the fixture with virtually zero extra wire and no way to remove the fixture without cutting the incoming wiring or un-wiring it. So I worked above my head and finally got it back together and tightened up. If I had some extra wire with me I would have cut it loose from the ceiling, lengthened the wires and reinstalled.

Why would they wire it this way? Quicker on the line I guess, but with absolutely zero consideration for how it has to be maintained in the field.

Gave the roof a good scrubbing and inspected all the lap sealant. Also waxed the front so it is ready to roll now. First trip coming up in about 3 weeks or so..

Reduced the DC load as much as possible.
Shut down the generator and stowed it.
Hooked up the solar.
Drove away.

I'll be back tomorrow.

Returned yesterday from a 9 day road trip around Texas. So today, we cleaned the Precept top to bottom and inside and out! Labor of love, but took a while!

Reattached my generator exhaust which had become detached. Don't need to be picking up stray road debris with a swinging pipe underneath the rig.

Washed and put the cover back on our trailer. It will be coming off in a month and a half for our next excursion.

Put a new foam mattress that I had made in the rear bunk. It is a 4" thick foam semi stiff with a soft 2" laminated on top of that. The lady at the foam place told me they do that combo all the time. It is way better than the garbage that was in there from jayco.

I stopped at 6" to allow for the emergency window latch handle clearance.

If I had it to do over again I think I would have gone with 3" and 3" but will get to test it out this weekend.

We cut open the Jayco mattress at the foam store and they just laughed at what was inside. It wasn't foam buy had an appearance like re-bond carpet pad. They said it was horrible junk.

Where did you go to have it made? This is definitely something I will want to do as my kid grows up some. For now, the mattress that's on there is fine since he only weighs like 30 lbs. It sucks for adults though.

Yesterday, actually, replaced the bathroom sink faucet with a residential, like so many of you have done. I know I know, no picture (yet).

Over the past few days actually. I washed, waxed, and rewired the outside kitchen with its own independent 30 amp twist lock plug. Now I can run my coffee pot, toaster over and the outside fridge without worrying about the breaker kicking off if the AC comes on.
Ready to pull out early Saturday morning for a week of camping in the pigeon forge TN area...

Fixed a few electrical issues I had pop up last fall. I had both 40A fuses blow, the 7.5A radio fuse blown and the "secret" switch on my Atwood furnace tripped. Not sure what did all this but I know I hooked up the battery backward briefly. Something that threw me off was the fuse holders on the circuit board have voltage on both sides when the fuse is pulled. On most vehicles voltage is present on only one side, with the fuse completing the circuit.

Did some more fine tuning on the brake adjustment as well as the brake controller setting. Afterwards took it for about a 40 mile spin on the freeway to check if improvement in the hub temps. They dropped 10-15 degrees to about 100-105 so success there.

I bought it

I finally purchased a 287bhsw for my family. It was a long time coming. We had to get rid of my jeep to buy a decent tow vehicle and decided on a 2016 f150 with the 3.5L ecoboost and max tow package. Now almost a year later we picked up our trailer. Our first trip is next weekend to Letchworth state park in NY and we are very excited.

Spent a few hours trouble shooting the Pioneer Receiver in our new Seneca 37TS. Apparent problem, Software failure. Contacting dealer and Pioneer.
