The indoor antenna will set next to the television when in use and stored in the cabinet when traveling. Our AT&T hotspot will lay right beside the antenna for maximum signal strength.

Instead of permanently mounting the outdoor antenna on the ladder, I plan to mount it on a telescoping flag pole that will be anchored to the ladder while at the camp site. I'm hoping the added height will increase the signal reception. Next I'll hook the RG-6 cable from the outdoor antenna to the exterior "cable input" jack at the rear of the trailer. The factory installed coax cable terminates in the entertainment center so I'll connect a short RG-6 cable from the entertainment center jack to the booster behind the television.

In keeping with my "no drill" policy, I'll be screwing just 4 short screws into the panel behind the television to secure the booster.

Ken

I have been thinking about getting one of those WeBoost.
Please let me know how it works. Did it make a big difference? Is it worth the money?

Thank you

I wondered why the air flow out of the a/c vent in the bathroom was so low so I removed the vent. This ring was attached to the grill and it was almost touching the top of the duct work so there wasn't much space for the air to move thru. Removing the ring also reduced the back pressure which resulted in stopping a small rattle I had in another vent just prior to the bathroom that I couldn't figure out.

Took it for a test tow with new replacement hitch head and weighed it while I was out. Debating going non slider so wanted to see how far I could turn it. Weights were interesting. About 21% pin and 400 ish pounds left for the family and stuff in bed.

TxLoser, Is 8140 lbs close to the advertised gross vehicle weight for your 5er?

Not at all. Gross is around 9950. This weight is loaded except for food, clothes, and water.

Swapped tv batwing for King Over the Air Antenna. Doubled the number of stations we can receive while testing at home.

Opened up the underbelly in the most rearward part of the trailer to examine and repair potential water damage from a leaky shower drain. Thankfully, it's not as bad as I feared it would be. I should be all fixed up before the end of the weekend hopefully.

Thank you
I haven't permanently installed it yet but did a dry-run at home. Our AT&T cell reception is usually poor (1 or 2 bars). The weBoost boosted the signal by 16dbms. It went from -108 (poor) to -92dbm (Good/Excellent). To put that in perspective, a 3dbm increase doubles the signal strength. A 6dbm increase is 4 times the strength and a 20dbm increase is 100 times stronger so my increase is somewhere around an 80x increase. Amazing.

WeBoost advertises a 32x boost so I'm very impressed. Can't wait to get it installed and try it out at a campground with a very weak signal. I know it's expensive but if you want/need to stay connected it's well worth the money. I definitely would buy it again.

By the way, I had planned to hook it to the "cable input" at the side of the trailer and mount the booster in the entertainment cabinet where the coax cable terminates. I saw a 10bdm decrease when I used that cable so I guess it's not a "low loss" cable like the cable that came with the weBoost. That was disappointing. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

Ken

Replaced the Propane/CO2 detector that decided to go catawampus at 2:00 AM for no reason. No gas on, and windows were open. Maybe the ozone from the thunderstorms lit it up. Oh well, it was five years old anyway.

Topped off the propane tank and scrubbed it down good inside after the last trip to the ocean. Sand has a tendency to get everywhere no matter how careful you are.... Headed out for a week in Montana next week after the Labor Day rush is over. Looks like the good weather will be holding out for the whole trip..

I have never known one of those suckers that didn't reach end of life at 2-4 a.m. I think they are programmed that way or it seems so anyway.

Maybe I'm mixing up my terms. I thought you were asking what the max weight (gwvr) of the trailer was compared to what I'd shown on the slip as my trailer's weight. My math has the trailer at 8120 as weighed with a 1740 pin wieght. Max gross for this model is 9950lbs. So about 1830lbs under max.
