After 18 months with our 2016 JayFlight 28RLS, we had to replace the tongue jack (warrantied) the dealer said I should keep it covered, they're noted for water leaking in and causing problems. We also finally got our remote control for the slider/awning and awning lights (Warrantied too). When did the final inspection, it was missing, 3 days before it was there because the salesman showed it to me when I was looking the trailer over again. We got a replacement in about 6 months, but that one never charged.

Discovered a leak while driving in the rain. Rain water leaking from the front ac onto the dining room table. Any one else having this issue?
The ac in the bedroom does not leak.

The parking spot in our driveway isn't exactly level so, jacked up the low side and threw some leveling blocks under the wheels so we could start cooling down the fridge while the trailer is hooked up to power for our getaway tomorrow morning.

Converted the hard wired shore power cord and mouse hole to the Marinco Park Power conversion kit. Now I have detachable shore power cord.

Appreciate the sentiment - I'll just be living vicariously for a few months through those of you lucky enough to still be out there. Enjoy the trip! In reality the season was over for us mid-September due to a co-worker going out on sabbatical then. I'll be returning the favor in 2020 when I get my next one....

I just finished filling up my onboard gas tank. It ran out last night during TV watching and I was too pooped to fill it up then so I just went to bed. I'm volunteering at Talladega this week and it was a long day.

Now is is 4:30am and I needed coffee so the Onan is working again.

Our season is over as well. I blew out the lines last weekend for the first time. Just need to get some antifreeze and pull the battery and lp tanks so they don't 'walk' away like last year. I too will be watching the forum enjoying other forum members trips while our camper is in hibernation.

I also washed the bug magnet. Picked up quite a few on our last trip to Maine.

Got the TT home after a 400 km with very windy conditions 60 to 100 KM/hour (40 to 63 miles/hour). Probably burned an extra 30 dollars on gas. Transmission was shifting to much, so put it on manual so I could control the RPM's. Went around 50 to 58 miles an hour to keep the bucking horse on the road.

Continued personalizing:
- DW hung a bunch of pictures
- replaced what IMHO is hideous kitchen backsplash with stone. Forgot to take a before picture, but the finished product is below
- removed the same hideous backsplash in the bathroom. Not sure yet if we're going to replace it or leave the wall as is
- removed the headboard (four screws) - amazing how much it opens up the bedroom
- replaced the cheap junk Furrion speakers with Bose - we love our music (inside, not out)
- discovered our first warranty claim - a hole in the awning. We didn't notice it during the PDI and it's already documented with our dealer.

If the weather clears today I'll give her a bath, including the room, and start with the Eternabond tape on the seams

Nice job on the backsplash. Looks great!

Finally did the hot water drain valve mod and put hinges on a panel that allows access to hot water bypass.

Antenna leak

Hi
The problem is not usually outside but inside the antenna itself, a problem I encountered on a motorhome I once owned. If you go into your manual , if you have one on your antenna, you'll see a breakdown list of parts. One part listed are 'Quad Rings' . These lose elasticity due to old age and wear and tear. Like all of us, LOL! They are also usually missed on the average yearly maintenance schedule for our rv's as they require yearly lubrication with a lubricant which won't break down rubber. Rv dealers should have the 'Quad Rings', chances are you won't need a new antenna, but if you can't get the rings at your dealer, go to a hydraulics shop with your old rings. They'll match them up for a buck or so. That's what I did and it worked great !
