And pumped the tires up to 70 psi. I'll check them tomorrow morning when cold, and make sure they're all at 65 psi, which is max pressure on my new Maxxis 8 ply load range D tires. I like my new tires!

However...

I realized that my truck brakes were in worse shape than I thought. Lots of pulsing from one or two warped rotors. Bought a pair of high quality new rotors and 4 ceramic/metallic brake pads. Tomorrows project. It never ends, it seems.

Thanks for the detailed replies, Looks like you are all set with new brakes, hubs, wiring and Maxxis tires!

Just Got back from our last adventure in it. Then spent just over an hour unloading everything in it. Just how much stuff can 2 people accumulate in an 18 foot camper in 2 seasons??!! Gonna be a sad moment when I hand the keys over tomorrow to the new owners. Last night my son kept telling me, "I sure am gonna miss this camper." I have to agree with him. Bet I have another one before Thanksgiving!

Just got back from our first long trip 3000km around Montana , Washington & BC. Truck & trailer were amazing no problems what so ever ''touch wood''. Gave her a good bath , winterized & parked for the winter. How fast can 7 months go by......

Pulled it about 300 miles from last night's stop at the Gee Creek rest area on I-5, just north of Vancouver, WA, to Klamath Falls, Oregon. Got it parked at the Klamath Falls Walmart for another night of free "camping". I did spend about $45 in the store, stocking up on chicken, pork, veggies, water and a new 5 gallon gas jug. Tomorrow my new tires will get the gravel road test going to the Royal Peacock Opal mine.

The new TT brakes seemed to do well, but at slow speeds were kind of grabby.

Hey Ed, where are you hosting after Atlanta. We are going to be out at Carrabelle and the Destin area for a few days.

Shopping for tires

Found a bubble in my TowMax tires that I could barely see standing there looking at the tire, but I could see it in my mirror. I've had a bad feeling about these tires. Oh well, looks like an upgrade in the works! Just wish I could spend the $$ on something else...

I'm not hosting in Atlanta, I'm just attending a car race for 5 day at Road Atlanta. Or at least I will be attending if I can get off of the internet and start driving.

My next host position starts 1-1-2016 at Jennings Ferry Park outside of Eutaw, AL on the Black Warrior river. This is a COE park and the same COE district that I hosted for earlier this year, just a different park this time. I will be back at St. Andrews in Panama City on 5-1-2016.

Several things done last week and tested out over the extended weekend:

Turned the light over the dinette around. The switch was tough to reach. Now easier:

Built a new front stoop with removable boot brush out of Trex:

Inverted and slid in the doorway, it holds everything needed when we arrive:

You can see the 4 chocks (bricks), level, leveling blocks, pad for the tongue jack, stabilizer wrench and the bar for the WDH spring arms. That's the dismounted boot brush in the back left.

I claim no originality for the platform nor it's contents. I stole both ideas.

Treated the front with Meguires Cleaner Wax. It was dark, so I haven't been able to see how I did...
