Topped off LP, water, fuel, cleaned and loaded our gear from the old Toyhauler.... off to the beach tomorrow for a week, our maiden voyage in the Redhawk. Installed Sumo springs and have hydraulic levelers on order... tomorrow I'll also be calling 5 star so we can get the rig sorted before our first desert trip in December.

What Did You Do To Your Jayco TODAY?

Went to the storage lot and pulled the battery to keep it at home for winter. It's a rarity that we could do that this late in the year. El Niño is being kind to us as last time this was possible I believe was 18 years ago. We're usually piled high with snow and probably about -15 to -20 C by now.

I can't even imagine thinking about planning a camping trip right now. We're trying to plan ski trips! LOL

Had all three holding tank slide valves replaced. One of the gray tank valves was leaking so it had to be replaced and as long as the valves were all three exposed it didn't make sense not to replace the other two. I'm good for another 5 years or so. I full time so they get used a lot.

I'm just glad it was a gray tank valve that started leaking. When something unexpected comes out when the dump cap is removed I'm sure glad it isn't from the black tank.

Installed a slide out rack under the stove on our new 338rets. Works great and DW can access her pots and pans without getting on her knees. Happy Wife, Happy Life. (For now)

Took delivery!

Took delivery of our new (to us) 2012 Jayco Eagle 31.5RLTS. First time 5ers! Took it first to a huge parking lot and practiced maneuvering, parking and backing up.

Once home, celebrated with dinner then worked on tweaks to LED upgrades, including all outside fixtures. Then installed Qry:3 "under cabinet:lights above the sink and stove top areas which are otherwise very dark due to shadows.

Transferred a bunch of goodies from our Fleetwood Niagara pop-up into our new rig. Finished at 2:00am, incurring hiding and properly double fastening new fixtures with provided screw in brackets, velcro and neatly tye-wrapped and hid all wires.

Many more projects to come!

When up to the storage lot to check on it. Winterized it 1 1/2 mos. ago. Did a quick peek as the trailer was colder than my freezer. Back home in front of fireplace dreaming of places to go next spring.
