Yesterday I cut the fridge on, loaded some roads and reels, my clothes and what the DW washed from our last trip. Today I'll load the fridge and the truck. Still debating on taking the Yak

Added LED Lights to bathroom cabinet.

Installed led light strips in the very dark and deep bathroom cabinet. Much better now. We can actually see and find everything.

Updated Stock Stereo

Our 2004 Jayco Greyhawk 27DDS had a Magnadyne M9900CD (1.8 din) Stereo which still worked, but I wanted to upgrade to a newer stereo with more features. Typically, auto stereos are either single din or double din. I chose not to take on the task of modifying the 1.8 din opening on the dash to fit a double din stereo. Instead I chose a Pioneer DEH-S5000BT Single Din Stereo with an installation kit that gives you a small plastic enclosure either above or below the single din stereo. Did not have any issues wiring or installing the new stereo & I am pleased with the new stereo!

New bed was delivered yesterday and after picking the camper up from storage moved it in. Spent 9 nights on the factory mattress which was 9 too many. Looking forward to the next week and sleeping like a baby.

We added tinting to the driver and passenger side windows. Really cuts down on the glare.

Emptied out the basement so I could get to the backside of the water dock. Pulled out the valve that was leaking. Then I put everything back in the basement. Now I need to go to Ft. Worth this week to United RV and see if they have the part I need or can order it. Couldn't find it on line.

DW and I finally put in a stainless steel mini subway tile back splash in the kitchen and in the bathroom. Went with Aspect brand peel-and-stick tiles with a bit of poly construction adhesive for good measure. Still need to finish off the edges with caulk or maybe the Aspect quarter-round edging. One more mod done!

Had to scrub the roof to get rid of all the caked on pollen from the last couple of weeks. Also waxed the front so it's ready to go in a couple weeks.

Made it some all-natural drink coasters...

Ok, to explain... we had to trim back some cypress trees, to make room for the TT beside the carport. We cut the limbs into fire logs, then realised they were perfectly round, so... a few minutes with a chop saw, some sanding and sealing, and.. voila, instant, ecologically sound coasters...

Hey, it was a quiet day.

Unloaded and put back in shed. The new TST 507's worked great even without repeater. (thanks to Magnolia Tom for telling me about them) even picked up a new Curt Q20 for $200.00 from a guy who towed his to camp ground and sit it up permanently.

Just inspected and washed roof. Tomorrow wash the rest and start waxing. Oh what fun it is to own an RV!

Replaced the mattress after 9 nights of less than quality sleep. Two nights in on the new mattress and I’m glad I didn’t wait any longer, slept as well as I do at home.
