Converter conversion to Progressive PD4655

Well, I did it! To you electrical types, big deal. But, after 3 hours, I changed my WFCO 8955 3 stage converter to a Progressive PD4655 4 stage converter. Even though the installation directions sucked in several places, I struggled thru it and got er done. And the icing on the cake....it really works!! LOL As a 72 yo retired hospital administrator/CFO I'm not very electricly inclined so this is really something to me. As they say, if I can do, anybody can.

Happy RVing,
Jeff

We have been doing some minor mods the last few weeks while our trailer is parked at the storage lot. I installed a Level Mate Pro in the cabinet above the kitchen sink. We'll calibrate it next week when we bring the TT to the house for cleaning and waxing. I changed the orientation of the cabinet door where all the switches are located. The way it was mounted from the factory, with it open, it was only a matter of time before my fat head connected with it (the holes were filled after the pictures were taken). One other thing we did was cut a piece of Plexi-glass to fit in the lower half of the screen door (no pics yet). We have a new rescue German shepherd whom we're afraid might paw the screen. We leave 2 weeks from tomorrow for the Pacific Northwest. This will already be our 4th summer with the Jay Flight trailer. It's hard to believe that the time has gone by so fast.

I resealed part of the roof today. I used Eternabond on the straight runs. I used dicor around the round parts. Cleaning to put sealer on takes forever even though the cleaner I used made it easy, it just takes a while. When I was on the roof I found that the vent cover I put over the bathroom vent has broken. That cover is not a year old yet. I will try a different brand to replace it with. I think I will try a Maxair I this time.

Installed an Oxygenics shower head, replacing the crappy factory shower head. Filled the fresh water tank to start sanitizing it and touched up some rust spots on the tongue with Rustoleum.

Electrical upgrades

Added a wall switch for the bedroom lights, made the single switch in the bathroom a 2 gang to control the exhaust fan and separated the awning and step light switches.

Today I dewinterized and sanitized the water system. Ran the hot water heater, A/C, furnace and the frig on both gas and ele. All worked great!! No water leaks! Got rid of the dime sized wasp nest that was in the bumper sewer hose. That will not happen again, I put some screen over the bumper cap holes. I ran the Honda twins for a hour with different loads on them. Now we can spend the week putting things in the TT.

Kept trying to get goo off the exterior in prep for painting it. Most of the decals are off one side. Still having trouble with some, they did not age well. Caulking is next, the caulking is terrible.

Have you tried Goof Off. Works good on removing the sticky stuff from decals

Removed the rear bike rack so the brand spanking new Eagle behind me in storage could move back a bit more.

Not really...I would have been a good man if I had remembered to do it last weekend. I forgot, so I ran out there today during my lunch.
