Man I wish I could hit the sweet spot like that Dan. Problem is, my 3 kids would go crazy or drive me crazy if I tried a drive that long in one day. Most we can do is about 5 hours (300-350 miles) with 1 potty break.

Finished adding an electric option to my LP water heater in my 195RB. Took a lot longer because I had to add a breaker to get power to the water heater bay.

Tom what you need to do is leave at bedtime for the kids. That way they sleep on the way and you can drive all night. That's what we used to do for trips when our kids were young.

Only bad thing is........you look at the kids sleeping and usually the wife also. Then it's kind of like National Lampoon Vacation where you are afraid you will fall asleep too. LOL

I agree with this 100%. I greatly prefer to drive at night. I started driving commercially in the early 90's and would always try and time my loads to leave in the evening so that I could be at the dock or in my bunk by the time morning rush hour would start. During the night, you may see one car for every 20 trucks.

Start late in the evening, tuck yourself in between a line of trucks and enjoy the ride. I'd much rather be surrounded by professional drivers than rush hour folks late for work.

4 new Load Range E tires, added second spare and EEZ Tire Pressure/Temp TP515 monitoring system

OK, where to begin...

the other day while traveling I had a guy pull next to me, point his finger behind me and wobble his hand, I pulled over and found a tire going flat, flash back 7 days earlier I found another tire with a radial belt separating, I still had 1Ranier left on the trailer with the same amount of age and mileage (about 10K) and 1 with less miles)... Tires were fall 2015 vintage on our 2016 trailer

SOOOO.. off came those 2 remaining original Ranier tire and the one that blew.... On came 4 new Load Range E tires (going to try the Noble brand) One with a new rim, so I have 2 spares now. (Seen from the forum that many have lost 2 tires when one of them goes) ...

Also added the EEZ Tire monitoring system TP515. Hopefully won't be caught again with a tire going flat...Still trying to decide to keep the 2 extra sensors on the spares or buy 2 more and put them on the TV..... Only thing on the spares, if you're on a smooth road, the sensors on the spares sometimes beep from a "lost signal" From NY to VA the longest beeping was for only about 5 minutes before something hit right and it woke up... .. Also was funny watching the temp in the spares just sitting on the back under their covers warming up in the sun to less then 10 degrees from the ones on the trailer were..... I'm going to watch it when I get to Fla, I might switch to white spare tire covers.

Angry 6 months old and rusted out

I ordered my Greyhawk 31 and picked it up on a cold clear December 20th morning. Kept it on a clean concrete pad at my home and just 5 months later--CORROSION EVERYWHeRE. I did not drive in snow or rain or salt...it hasn't been except 1 trip to the beach. Jacks inoperable, refrig dead, grounds rusted out, sterp not working. Here are some pictures. What are they doing?? My 2004 Winne 37 did not have 1/2 of this type of rust on it and it was 13 years old with 60k...Not brand new

Added a new mattress topper and I have the bedding in the washer as I type this.

I also had an assistant helping me get the trailer ready for the weekend today.

Hey thanks. And what's really awesome is that she actually loves to help. That's her job......holding the hose.

Cleaned the early stages of a bird nest out of my pin box and then stuffed the opening with a large black trash bag.

That’s pretty awesome Dan.......unless you don’t like your in laws. [emoji41]

New elect. stabilizer jacks in front of the wheels to get rid of the frame flex. Had to put the motor on the off door side due to the steps but did the trick also wired it into the front switch and added a selector switch to allow the the remote to work

I found a nest when I removed the propane tank cover.

Installed two 100 watt Renogy solar panels to the roof. Sure hated cutting that hole in the roof but it had to be done. Also installed 40 Amp mppt charge controller and it is making electricity!
