That certainly would make for an interesting aroma next time you see it! Make a storage checklist?[emoji848]

NorCal, what is the siphon issue? I must have missed that.

I replaced my second stage charcoal water filter element. The first stage is the particulate filter which I replaced a couple of weeks ago. The charcoal filter had been in service for 6 months and water flow was slowing down. All is good again now. Both filters are 1 micron.

Thermostat

Need some help. Our thermostat changed to celcius and cannot find how to change it back to Fahrenheit. We have tried pushing the up and down arrow quickly,,pressing and holding for 10 secs. Cannot find anything in the user manual.

Hello Campers and welcome to the forum!

Let us know which thermostat you have - or what camper you have so folks can chime in.

A picture or model number would be great.

Try turning off power (12 volt) and pulling batteries, wait a minute and put batteries and power back on. Your batteries may be dead or very weak.

Consider starting a new thread and more will reply with solutions.

We have an LCD thermostat on our new Jayco. On it, you push both up and down arrows briefly at the same time. Toggles between F and C.

We've been bitching, for months, about the mock-metallic "checkerboard" backsplash behind the galley area.... finally did something about it.

We prefer a more "rustic" feel, so we cut some 1-1/2" x 1/4" strips of wood lattice, to the right length to run side-to-side... gave them a "whitewash" finish (paint it on, then rag most of it off, so the grain still shows), then glued them over the nasty checkerboard, to give a shiplap/beadboard effect.

The fun bit was cutting the ends to fit around the curved window frame... nothing that a bit of playschool engineering with a paper template couldn't fix!

Drug it to the CG, set it up on a nice level spot (no lego's at all), and enjoyed the heat and humidity in E TN. I did lube the slide since it was moaning & groaning.

Unloaded a few things from a week in Northern NM.
It's just too hot to do much else.

I highly recommend Chama, NM for this time of year.

Unloaded it from our trip to the beach. Washed it off and sprayed all the exposed metal with WD40 to prevent rust from exposure to salt air. Probably overkill but cheap piece of mind.

Shelves

Whitehawk has a great closet but needed shelve so added some with a small bungee to keep things in place during transit.

So I had two issues with the pop up; 1) Water leak around the AC unit. 2) The AC unit wasn’t working. So I had to fix the leak but did I want to spend the money on a new AC? Do I really need a AC in Colorado? I looked for a used one but what if it died a few weeks later? So I opted for a fan, and decided on the Maxxfan 7200.
I removed the AC unit and you can see the crease in the top that allowed water to enter camper, luckily it landed on the canvas rather than the mattress. I cleaned everything up, did a quick mock up, and laid down butyl tape, screwed the housing down then covered everything with Dicor self-leveling caulking. I’m really impressed with the installation of the fan, everything is done from the top, then the wiring is done from the inside. I did install an in-line fuse to protect the fan. The fan definitely moves some air, is reversible and relatively quiet. The old unit weighed 92lbs the fan in comparison only weighs 21, 71 pounds less on the roof is a big deal! You can see how big the old unit was in the bottom picture, HUGE difference in profiles between the two units.

I did the same thing with ours after last weekend camping ON the beach. I don't consider it overkill at all!
