In our new 242BHS we did a few small improvements.

1. Installed a corner medicine cabinet with mirror in the bathroom

2. Installed a small cabinet with towel bar above the toilet in the bathroom

3. Installed a easy-tear paper towel holder in the kitchen.

4. Installed the first of two 12v 100ah Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries (Battle Born Battery)

5. Removed top bunk in the back of the trailer for more headroom.

6. Replaced a fried Atwood water heater control board for the 3rd time.

The valves in the controller hold pressure without power.
They make a dual power controller for RV, but an inverter would be cheaper.

Let me qualify that.
The model of mattress we got was $400 off.
RV model was not on sale.

Nice work! Can I ask where you found the paper towel holder? Looks perfect there.

Thanks! It fits that spot perfectly and I like how it doesn’t spin freely and lets you tear off a single sheet without the roll spinning freely.

I bought the paper towel holder at Canadian Tire but I found the same one on Amazon as well:

USA:

Sweet! Great idea. We have similar cabinets — did you run the mounting screws into a backer board inside? They are so thin...

Just into the panelling with the supplied screws. Seems to be strong enough. Comes with anchors too if needed but it seems to be holding up.

It's time to finally get her cleaned up and put back in storage. So last night, I shook out and vacuumed the rugs, swept and mopped the floor, cleaned up the kitchen, tidied up the inside a bit, and emptied the tanks.

It was my first time with a macerator, and it worked like a dream! It easily pumped the waste through 100 ft of 3/4" hose to the back of my house into my septic cleanout. It worked WAY better than the Sewer Solution I had been using, used WAY less water too so I don't have to worry about the impact to my septic system. And it was FAST too!

Sure, I'd like to get a really good fill & flush, but for the odd time we need to empty the tanks at home, this will work just fine. I just need to run an additional 12V wire back to my waste dump area so I can plug it in, but that'll be easy.

Tonight I give her a bath, and she goes back to storage to wait for the next great adventure!

Stopped at the dealer and found out that our new trailer is still scheduled to be done on the 29th and should be at the dealer 1 to 2 days later. Also, found out that the washer/dryer combo that we ordered for them to put in had just arrived and looked like it went through a trash compactor AND of course it is out of stock for 2-3 weeks (after we leave the area for the year).

Bumped the wast valves and they were linking came up with a better solution to the way they had it configured.
The way Jayco design these valves would take almost 3 gallons to fill the 3 inch pipe with water and chemical and no chemical in the tank which did absolutely nothing to degrade the waste when you open the valve to blue stuff all came out right away here's some pictures of my modification.

Washed, dried and back to storage for a week and a half until our trip to Reno, NV. I also started tape sealing the gaps behind the a/c vents in the ceiling but ran out of time to finish that project.

Took her down to the scales for a re-weigh. I’ve noticed that the DW has been slowing adding little niceties..........to the tune of about 360 lbs! Thought I noticed a decrease in gas mileage.

I installed the first 9v battery in the smoke detector. What a wake up call (I’ve owned my 2017 North Point over 2 yrs), to find they don’t come with one.

Drove 2800 miles to visit some friends in Washington state. We've had one TPMS sensor that pops in and out, which we have now replaced.

Adjusted the latch on the main door that holds the screen door in place when they are not being used separately. It had slowly moved out of adjustment to the point where the screen door latch was catching a bit on the door frame and making it difficult to open. With it readjusted it now holds the screen door handle down far enough to prevent that.

Put the tire covers on and sprayed grass killer around the edges of the parking pad.

Pulled her for the first time with the new B&W Companion - huge difference from my old Reese. DW even noticed that there was less noise and and overall smoother ride.

Had to have the main AC unit replaced. It had low voltage and the coils would freeze up. Then I towed her back to her storage bag to await our next trip on Aug 2nd.

I had to do that last week with my rear 15K a/c. I can't complain since it was 8 years old and used full time. This was summer #9 so it had a lot of hours on it. The compressor was working fine, but the fan motor was getting loud enough to hear it down the road. Yes I could have replaced just the fan motor and capacitor, but then I would still have had a unit was was 8 years old. New wasn't much more money and I feel nice and cool with my decision.
