How long are you here?

Friends from MN met us here and they came through Donegal on the way in. We’re here for a week, heading to Lancaster next Sunday. It has certainly been a wet start to the trip...

It's been this way here for the last 2 years. Flooding rain, followed by high heat, then flooding again. There are brief interruptions for a couple feet of snow. But then it's back to the heavy rain again.
Well enjoy your stay. There is so much to do in this area. Don't forget to stop by the Flight 93 memorial while you are here. Other great stops are Ohiopyle, Fort Necessity National Battlefield, Ft. Ligonier, Laurel Caverns, and Jumonville. If you are really bored in the rain, there is a little place not to far from you called Gravity Hill. It's out in the middle of nowhere but really a neat experience. And if you want the best Italian food in PA, there is a little place in Uniontown called Meloni's. It's a little drive from where you are, but just darn good.
If you need anything this week, let me know. I'm just a stones throw away.

DW asked me to clean the toilet chute. It is totally ugly down there. Bought a 15” nylon bullet head bristle from box store, gorilla taped the handle to a 32”x3/4” steel pipe, used up a whole 32oz bottle of lime away and scrubbed, scrubbed, scrubbed the crap out of it and only managed a 20% improvement. Petrified particle residue still line the downpipe (looks like rust) which goes down about 45” and turns...cannot see any blank tank water. Anyone else with a similar situation? It will have to be rotary scrubbed somehow with a special long tool to get it back to factory.

Thanks for the ideas on things to do, and the Flight 93 memorial is definitely on the list.

Towed from Montgomery TX to Abilene via Hwy 6.
Torrential rain for the last 200 miles.
Did a thorough check after unloading.
Bone dry. No water penetration anywhere.
We needed the rain.

Oh, I replaced the male end of the 30 amp power cord Thursday morning.
Those "factory" plugs are marginal at best.

Finished cleaning the inside so it's ready to load again for the upcoming Arizona trip. Also, repaired the corner of the cabinet above the dinette. I noticed it was very loose when I unloaded after the last trip. Looks like most of the staples missed and they used one of those fancy invisible screws to fasten the corner to the ceiling. Added a couple of small L brackets to replace the staples and installed a visible screw into the ceiling. Nice and solid now.

Beat the crap out of it again on Maine back roads.. At least Jayco cabinets don't fall out of the wall.. Our campsite mates ( a double site) said theirs fell off the wall.

Didn’t know it existed until I saw your post. We’ll have to wait and see what the weather does too - it hasn’t stopped raining since we arrived on Friday. The campground is split between two ponds and the road between them is flooded right now.
If we do go it will probably be Friday..

Got fed up with the stupidly placed OEM bathroom towel ring and replaced it with a second bar. And finally got around to putting a bead of clear caulk below our backsplash mod. Ready to hit the road!

Lubed both slides, and patched a small crack in the caulking around the skylight.

How long did your 3000s last? We have a 16 Eagle not many miles on her.

We have been running to the rig under a shed in the back yard getting food, paper products and batteries in preparation for a deluge of rain coming tomorrow.
