That is sad, Our rig never sits for over a month without a trip somewhere even if for a weekend.

Yeah I have hit that also......

Thinking of installing self closing hinges on it.

Love to hear that. I read your response to the DW and SWMBO has agreed with you and has made it pretty clear that we will find a way to utilize it after it is winterized. Most of the campgrounds that are close shut off all facilities but the DW says thats no problem.

Got the wall closed up with the lift fixed, installed the fridge and started reinstalling the new water pump. Finished priming and cleaning (again) the exterior. Plan to paint either later today or tomorrow.

I washed the pickup (TV), car than washed the Jayco. I had to take extra time on the front cap, the bugs were bad on that.

Towed it home from our final camping trip of the season. There is one campground at the lake we like to go to that is "closed" officially, as is no water available, no trash service, no firewood sales, but as long as you can drive in there, you can camp for free. Nice area, smaller sites, and quite a distance from the main road. Of course, if our kids come up to visit, they can always park in an unused site near ours. But alas, cold weather is settling in, only supposed to be in the mid 50's for the daytime highs over the next few days. After we got it home, I found one of the local gas stations have a deal, fill you gas tank and dump for free. I took advantage of that deal. Got it home, parked, and leveled. Drained the hot water heater, fresh water tank and the low point drains. Finally, pumped the water lines full of RV antifreeze. Over the next week we will be emptying everything from the trailer, all food stuffs, bedding, and camping gear. In a little over two weeks, it goes to the dealer for some warranty repair work. Hopefully all the work will be done quickly and I can get it home to be placed in storage at the local fairgrounds under cover before the snow flies. I don't relish the idea of towing it 90 miles home in the snow, even if my TV is 4X4. Guess we wait till spring to go again. I gotta say though, even though we bought this rig at the end of June, we've really enjoyed the 4 trips we were able to take with it. We went camping more this year since we bought our trailer than we did all last year with our pop up.

Worked on my propane puzzle some more. I think I'm onto bad gaskets on a few of my propane bottles.

Brought her home from a nice weekend at the coast. Unpacked, turned off the fridge, swept a sandbox worth of sand out, along with another dog worth of fur.

Got a few more "chores" to do, then she's headed back to storage!

Took it to the dealership today. Had it winterized, extra bathroom towel rack installed, sealed up 11 potential critter holes, had 2 roof corners sealed, had the front vertical cap lights sealed as they were letting in some water to the switches on the bottom of the front cap, topped off propane and had a one way vent cap installed on the kitchen sink vent that apparently was missing from the factory. We were getting bad smells from under the kitchen sink this summer. Read on this forum where others had similar issues and the probable cause so I had it checked out and they found the issue. Thanks for all the great information on this forum. Brought it back home at the end of the day.

Don’t know how much you’ve diagnosed but I had lp issues too. Turned out to be bad valves on the tanks themselves. I would get a smell of lp gas when the tanks were turned on and there wasn’t enough pressure to power anything.

Add Hot & Cold low point drain valves

I added hot and cold water drain valves underneath my 2017 Eagle 339FLQS. see: https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f...g-62311-2.html

Sealed up some weak spots in my roof seals, then did a close inspection of the rest of the roof seals. I found a couple spots that need touching up, but I need to get the sealant for that before I can fix it.

Then I cleaned all the bugs off the front. Even though I killed LOTS of bugs, it wasn't too bad a job really. I used LA's Totally Awesome Cleaner (from the Dollar Store) and Bounce softener sheets. The crud and chunks came off pretty easy. Then I followed up and gave the whole rig a good bath using a carwash that contains plenty of wax. She looks pretty darn good all cleaned up!

I treated the tank with some "Happy Campers". This is the first time I've used it, so we'll see how it goes.

Then I put her back in storage until the next adventure! I have a new bath fan coming, and I need to grab that sealant, then I'll bring it back home to do those few chores before our next actual outing...

Didn't like the frosted glass window on our JayFlight 21QB, so replaced it with the AP Products Slim Shade clear window. Easy install and the tinted window and black frame matches the rest of the windows.

Unloading everything out of the trailer. It’s going back to Indiana in 2 weeks for the sidewall crack repair.

Had to use a couple of buckets of hot water to get the frozen propane tank cover off to change tanks. Dropped to 23 last night with snow and ran out of propane around 7:00 this morning. Beautiful morning waking up with snow on the ground though.

Did that a couple of weeks ago to take it to the dealer for some warranty work, and then to Indiana in March for the crack repair.
