Installed my flag pole and colors. The weather finally cooperated enough to get some decent pictures

Finally a break in the never-ending rain. Opened the awning and cleaned the underside. Started loading it so I can take it out this weekend and get a current scaling with it loaded for travel and before starting the season off in a couple of weeks...

Today I un-winterized my Jayco. I guess this past winter ization was unnecessary as I saw brief freeze temps just one night. But my procedure is simple, to fix all I just closed all the low points and tank drains and faucets - then pumped water into it. First the hose line - while drawing air out of the taps (hot and cold). Then a few gal in the black tank to get the bottom covered. Finally a few min of water into the onboard carry tank and run the pump a bit. All is well, and our first trip is the end of the month.

I hope last years beer didn't go bad.

Finally

Meant to post on this thread yesterday. What did we do to our Jayco? Spent several hours doing our PDI. Then we signed on the dotted line and gave them a check for payment in full. Delivery to our seasonal site is scheduled for April 1.

Serviced my Honda generator yesterday: new synthetic oil, cleaned the air filters and replaced the spark plug with a new one. The plug I removed had been in for 10 weeks, which amounts to around 350-400 hours of use. The owner's manual specifies that the plug be replaced every 200 hours, so I should be changing them out every 5 weeks. The old plug was blackened at the electrodes, and somewhat worn, however the white ceramic insulator around the center electrode was still fairly white and clean looking.

It seems my Honda was running a little rough at the ECO speed. The new plug helped a little (I think), but there are more things I might dig into, now that I have a second, new EU2000i I can rotate into use.

Two maintenance procedures I have NOT performed with this generator are checking/adjusting the valve clearances, and cleaning the carbon from the combustion chambers. Either could be an issue that could cause the rough running at idle speed.

I need to start studying up on YouTube, and put together the supplies/tools I'll need. Should be a fun and interesting project!

Not so much to my Jayco, but I booked at Ray Roberts Lake SP for next weekend. I told DW I'd hide eggs in the woods. I also told her that I'd tell them the Easter Bunny pooped them out...but that's what rabbits do in the woods...right? Needless to say, I got a smack!

Gave the nose cap a really good scrubbing, off to the paint shop in the AM for the dreaded cap fade. Thanks to Jayco NOT covering their issue, second owner at a year old, so no warranty!

Have a safe trip back north Seann. I started my northward migration a few weeks ago, moving up to Moab, UT from Quartzsite. In two or three weeks, I'll look for location between Moab and Seattle that's warm enough for my tastes and explore it for a while. I plan to reach the Seattle area by mid-to-late April. The weather should be tolerable by then. I hope.
