We went camping over the weekend. A level site would have made setup a lot easier. I think I have the pup so twisted, the door barely closes. It will stay at that site for 3 weeks. My wife and son will go back next weekend since I have to work, and the 3 of us will return for the 3rd weekend. Today, I crossed my fingers that it will all be intact when they go back on friday.

I carry various sizes of lumber to use as chocks and under the tongue jack and I have aftermarket adjustable jack stands. I had to use a 4X4 under one wheel and used a car jack to raise one corner high enough to put a piece of wood under one jackstand. I have set up in 30 minutes or less before. This time took an hour in the heat of the day, including trying to eyeball the flatest part of the site and get the pup there.

My wife and son returned to the pup for a long weekend. We have it set up at a campground where it will stay for 3 weekends in a row. I might join them monday morning for a few hours before heading home.

I haven't done it YET since I'm still on my first cup and it is a bit early, but I will be running my generator for my every month 1 hour under load. Since it supposed to in the high 80's today it will be a good load with 2 a/c's.

My Norcold has been working perfectly and continues to do so, but that load of ice on the back freezer wall had to go. I have been putting off defrosting for a while now, but yesterday afternoon was the day. I don't know why I put this off so long. It only takes about 30 minutes, but taking a nap is much more enjoyable.

But it is now done for another few months.

What Did You Do To Your Jayco TODAY?

Yep ED, we need to do ours too, with the high humidity here in the Southeast, it does ice up quickly
I will probably get ours done this weekend

We picked up our camper from the RV Spa and took it back to the storage area. Looks really nice after a wash and hand wax.

Checked my roof seals, washed the tt. Checked the CSA approval stickers on all the equipment on my non "Canadian standards" trailer.

What finally made me defrost my freezer Rob, was the frost buildup was keeping my ice trays from fitting. The door would hit them as it closed. Definitely was time to defrost. Even with the frost so thick the freezer worked perfectly. I'm sure it is working better now (smile).

At the same time I defrosted, I removed the drip pan from the refrigerator section and washed it off. It always looks a bit cruddy after collecting drips from the coils.

New electrical plug housing - just use plumbers putty around on the inside and tighten. No silicone :-)
The little mess you see around the top is Silicone from PO. Have to take putty knife and scrap off.

New door latch - couldn't put in at top center. Door hits side marker light and latch wasn't long enough

Emptied the litter box, vacuumed the interior, then washed it and waxed the Alcoa wheels.

Winterized the trailer And put away in storage.....didn't get much camping in this year, but next year will be better because we decided to go seasonal. Anyone have any pros and cons about getting a seasonal Site?

Yesterday, I ended 3 consecutive weekends of camping at a Yogi Bear campground. The site was uneven and required a lot of work to level the pup, which ended with the door not closing easily. There were no other issues with the pup even after being left up for 2 1/2 weeks. Now that it's back home, on flat ground, the door works fine again.

Busy last week-end

Installed LED light strip on awning ($22.00 on ebay, Priority mail included!), had to cut from 16 down to 9ft, but they should still add some "pop" at night.
Added a back-up camera which may/may not help backing into enclosed storage compartment.
Installed LED lights. Some were "less fluorescent" than others. While not as bright as the standard 12V bulbs, they only required 1/3 of the power.
Got a ramp for my small dogs.

Also replaced the dealer provided cheap sewage hose with a Rhino kit, purchased memory foam for bunks & main bed, drained the water heater and tested the power consumption with a watt meter.

Still getting ready for our first trip in a few weeks!

I had to put the left front landing leg's horizontal gear back together. Yes, our 2012 Pinnacle is still under warranty, but that requires a tow to the dealer and then waiting for the work to be completed.

While in the Yukon on our way back home, the machine pin which affixes the gear to the drive axle fell out!! I couldn't believe it! It was obvious that the factory assembly (or was it Jayco??) did not seat the pin in all the way. Fortunately I found the pin stuck in a blob of grease at the top of the leg.

I had to remove the front basement storage area's left panel and perform various contortions to get the gear and pin back together. The hardest part was getting the pin reseated. Luckily I was able to take a small upholstery hammer and tap the machine pin back in.

After that, all I want for Christmas is a universal joint halfway between my elbow and my wrist!

Did some pre-flight checks to head out tomorrow for 4 days.
Camping at Versailles State Park, Indiana. A sentimental place for me.

Re-sealed tail lights.
Put in new outside range hood vent. The damper hinge was broke in my vent.
Checked tool bag, tire pressure, battery.

Ready to roll
