I just moved the screw over about 3/8" and made a new hole. I started the hole with the drill driver than finished with a hand screw driver so I could feel how tight it was instead of striping out the screw again.

It would be very hard for someone to see the old screw hole behind the valance. They would have to put their head inside the valance and look.

26.5 rlds

Finally a break in the weather got me so time to work on our rig before leaving on Monday.

Installed magnetic catches on cargo doors. Love em!
Checked underside for openings, problems and tire wear.
Caulked a few spots around doors and on roof.
Tightened air cond. bolts.
Aired up all tires on fiver and TV.
Installed TPMS sensors on fiver.
Added lighted volt/amp/usb plug.
Washed and waxed fiver and TV.
Applied Aerospace 303 Protectant to all tires.

Still need to sanitize water system, add bike rack and bikes, and check wheel bearing grease in next 2 days. Then on to first outing this year.

Happy RVing,
Jeff

Prepped the water system for sanitizing and will finish that up tomorrow. Also pressurized the propane system and tested all the connections for leaks as well as testing the fridge and the furnace. Will test the hot water tank once the sanitizing is complete. It's nice to have some decent weather again...

Yesterday we cleaned/washed inside and out, sanitized fresh water and checked to see if my winterizing was successful and we have no leaks. Well at least on city fixtures. The pump doesn’t sound like it is pumping but it does make a constant noise when all the fixtures are closed. Can’t see any obvious leaks so I am hoping it is just some air in the lines. I will tackle that another day if it doesn’t stop.

Opened up all of the junction boxes I could find to be sure the wire nuts were tight. Glad I did as I found a loose wire in one of them. Redid that connection and then taped all of the nuts to prevent them backing off.

Removing all the stuff inside and cubbies that I don't want to grow legs and walk away. Taking it to the dealer tomorrow for some warranty issues.

The two main ones are the Deluxe Max Fan will not open. It wasn't standard, but it was installed by the dealer before I picked it up. Dealer's got to fix that.

The other biggie is the fresh water tank level will not register. Even if I have the full 84 gallons on board, it still registers as zero. That must be fixed. I prefer to carry between 1/3 and 2/3 tank. I don't want to have to fill it every time I leave just to make sure I have enough water.

The 2 year warranty ends in June of this year.

Finally got a chance to wash all the winter grime off. On the front cap which is fiberglass, I applied some 3M Marine fiberglass restorer to remove the dullness, then applied some 303 to enhance the fading decals, then waxed it. I recently purchased a gallon of the P & S Beadmaker and it looked so good on my F-250, I decided to coat the entire camper with it. Looks pretty darn good for a 7 year old fiberglass camper. Sorry no pics as it was almost dark when I finished.

Washed the trailer , applied 303 to roof and all walls and waxed entire trailer in prep for leaving in the desert all summer.

Opened it up after the long winter and started stocking it for our first camping trip of the year but work seems to be getting the way. Sure felt good to open it up.

Getting ready for our first trip in the new camper in a couple weeks. Connected water in the driveway and flushed out the lines. Working on the inside and getting it ready to be "lived" in if only for the weekend!

Smile Sorting

I went through every cabinet and storage area to get rid of unnecessary stuff. If I didn't use the item last year, I decided it needed to go. I want to be organized and light! (It was tough, though, because I tend to be a "just in case" type of person.
