Attempting to hook up for tomorrow and I found that there is a hornet's nest somewhere up in the enclosed underbelly. They are coming out of the hole where the wiring goes up in the frame.

I hate bees by the way.

The rain finally stopped long enough today, to get the TT moved to the front of the garage, so I could plug it in, fire up the fridge, and get it packed up.
The sun did come out...……for about 60 seconds I hate bees, too!

What Did You Do To Your Jayco TODAY?

Well, that is a good question. I still think I will order one just so I can go one up on my neighbors RV! He is a "mine is better than yours" kind of guy, so I'll show him.

Question, did you use any sealant around the outside frame?

Definitely have to 1-up the neighbor! [emoji4]

The windows do come with a bead of some kind of sealant already on the window frame, but I still added some automotive grade clear silicone around the top and the sides down to the bottom of the radius’s after they were installed. Did not seal the straight section along the bottom in case any water did get in it could possibly drain out.

The only downside to the shade is that you have to adjust the shade outside of the screen door. The pros definitely outweigh this con in my opinion.

You do have to rotate the bottom of the shade slightly to raise/lower like one of the YouTube videos mentioned.

The price has come down about $6 each since I ordered mine back in September!

Cheers [emoji482]

Do a google search to find a pet safe way to kill the nest. Than close up the holes.

I put about a 2" chunk of flea collar in the fridge access panel, hot water tank panel, and also where the electric cord goes into the trailer. That seems to keep the wasps from building nests in those areas. I also put screen over the squares on the bumper covers to keep the wasps from building in the sewer hoses.

Flea collar? Who'd of thunk of that. No issues myself yet but I'm adding it to the list of things to get. Thanks

I LOVE bees!! They're actually VERY helpful, especially in agriculture.

What I HATE are yellow jackets, wasps, and "killer" bees.

What I did to my Jayco? Installed a Trik-l-start, but haven't wired it up yet. I may get a chance tonight. I'll try to take some pics and do a short write-up. Then time to pack up for a beach boondocking trip!

moved my tv mount on a 2019 24rbs in the bedroom. the side wall mount was just not the best place . I mounted it in the front wall, no stud there so I put longer screws into a small 1x2 to reinforce it. i'll probably take it down to travel. well see.

Thanks to Duke 26 I sent Amazon a few bucks and they are going to send me one of those new door windows with the shade. Got to figure out how to connect to a blue tooth connected motor so I can control it from my phone. That would be a neat trick. In the mean time I’ll just politely ask my wife to do it for me.

As soon as I get it installed I’ll be giving my neighbor a call to come see what he needs to buy next

Trying to kill a mouse, this is the first mouse in my 2012 trailer, it keeps taking the d-con blocks under the cabinet, so no I have 4 traps set up to try to kill it.

I will win....

Installed a Heng's Vortex fan in the bedroom vent. Had to go fishin for some 12V power and got lucky as it was just in arms reach in the ceiling.

Installed new floating waterproof vinyl. Repair after discovering a leaky roof.

Before photo, beginning to peel the rot peeled away:

New subfloor in place:

And with the new flooring; about 90% done - cabinetry and sofa still needs reinstallation at this point:

Hardest part was lifting the kitchen cabinet without unhooking gas and plumbing so I could slip the floor underneath the cabinet front.

Very pleased with results, but now DW wants new wall color and soft surfaces...

Installed a second propane tank and new regulator, and purchased a 100 watt solar panel in hopes to keep my battery up while dry camping...

Fixed this! Factory workers overtighten the self tapping screws and they break. Bad ground and strange power anomalies are the result...

Plus it’s nice being able to see out the door window now when the shade is up. The tinted windows match the rest of the windows perfectly. Installation is pretty straight forward and fairly easy. There’s a few good installation videos on Youtube.

Thanks for the great suggestion! I just finished the install on my new Thin Shade and I can't believe what a great improvement it made for very little money! My Father's Day present to myself.

It is very well made, fit together like a glove. The only trick was installing the rear frame with the shade in place...took a few tries to get it right. The screws all lined up perfectly. Took less than 45 minutes and with just a screwdriver. This video helped a lot:

Plug Holder

Got and installed a plug holder for our 7-pin plug. No more drooping onto the ground.

After just short of 9 years of full time use I had to replace the lube plate on my fifth wheel pin. I was unhooking at Ft. Wilderness and the old plate had many small cracks all over it that I had never seen. I hadn't actually looked at that plate in years. It actually broke into several pieces and flew all over the place as I pulled out from under the pin. I had no clue what had happened until I got out of the truck and looked. I should have taken pictures of all of the cracks in it, but I didn't think about it. My son in law was going to Camping World the next day so he picked up a new one for me so I should be good for the next 8-9 years. Ha!
