That is why i love our new redhawk awning, power arms are so high i cannot hit my head, but the best part is that almost everytime i go under awning arms i duck because i hit my head so many times on our old trailer awning!!!

I forgot to close one of the basement doors. we had rain that night and the next morning I had some water in the basement. This is not the first time I forgot to close one of the doors. I installed magnetic reed switches on the two basement doors and the front door by the battery compartment and wired them to a small red LED I placed at the corner of the steps inside the camper. I wired it in such a way that if the LED glows red I now know I left one of the doors open, and it’s also a good security feature.

Washed the pine needles and salt air off of her this morning. Also blew out all the lines. I’ll wash the TV tomorrow...it never ends!

I hasn't been done yet, but later this morning my front a/c is being replaced. It finally died after 9 years full time use. The rear a/c died one year ago at 8 years use.

Pressure washed the roof, washed an waxed it then if it was on the outside or in the doors an it was rubber or plastic (exception the roof) it got hit with 303. Cleaned the shower an poured the GEO method into the blank tank. Removed all fishing equipment to prepare for our next trip to Darlington for the NASCAR races.
I'll admit I was little bit sore when I woke up this mornin. Click image for larger version

Scrubbed the roof, used the equivalent of 96 loads of Tide laundry soap, got water on the roof by hooking up the Troy-Built power washer and using it as "off/on" switch for my water. After scrubbing and while rinsing, discovered the wash wand would act as power sprayer without the motor running...so...fired up the motor and power washed soap and any leftover 'dirt' off the roof and off the sides.

This is my fourth RV. After cleaning it is apparent when they put the roof on it no one bothered to clean the deck before applying the roof material. The 2002 5r roof was turning black before coated with Hengs, only leaked after having a branch fall on the front skylight. My 2012 Jayflight had a roof that looked like it was flowed on smooth. I didn't want to, but did poke holes in it to put on solar panels. Washed the roof twice in four years. The new JayFeather is only 18 months old from manufacture, and the roof was FILTHY. Might be that it started out dirty, because the staining at the edge of the roof indicates tree leaves were there early in the unit's life. Lots of ponding at the edges where excess roofing material rolls up at the transition. No "big oak trees" where I live, just a willow out front and some Mesquite scrub. To compound it, the four trips to Pharr RV to get front cap replaced and work on A/C created 'paths' in the dirt...but the front cap job was done right, and the sealant wasn't dirty (replaced in January).

Guess my question is: Should I go ahead and put Heng's on the roof NOW, or wait and see how all the protrusions work themselves out. I have another eight months warranty left and no leaks that would trigger a claim.

Busy day with her today. Left the Acadia region of Maine at 4:45 for the eight hour trip home, and of course the first couple of hours was spent driving in the Maine morning fog. No fog the entire two weeks we were there, but it rolled in thick this morning. Once home had to literally empty everything out of her as first thing tomorrow we're making the two hour trip to the dealer to drop her off for warranty work, the biggest item being the staples that are coming up on the roof.

She's in desperate need of a bath, but not worth it at this point if she's simply going to sit at the dealer and get dirty again.

After dealing with a Rubbermaid tote in my pass-through full of poopy hoses, I finally rigged this up on my rear bumper. I just didn't want to deal with sliding the hoses in and out of the bumper.

3" x 5" shelf brackets, self tapping screws, and a bunch of extra large washers for the inside where i screwed it into the bumper and the new Plano is nice and secure. If I like the placement, I may upgrade to welding a steel plate for it to sit on down the road. It will only be holding max 10 lbs of gear as it's just the hoses, elbows, gloves and cleaning wand.

Purchased one of these to keep the camper battery charged while in the storage lot. The cord wasn't long enough to place it on the roof so it's sitting on a board on the ground at a slight angle toward the sun. Seems like a quality product. Hopefully someone won't steal it.
