Rotated the tongue jack

Now I don't have to worry about anyone dropping my tailgate on the Jack

I know I'm such a nice guy, but that 10-11' drop to the ground ruined his/her day I assure you. Besides, I eliminated the on ramp to my rig first. I hope.

We returned from our spur of the moment trip to Cherry Springs State Park--dark sky park. We packed our telescope and camped on the astronomy field. It was a great time and a good test of the solar panels since RV hookups are prohibited.

We enjoyed clear skies and spectacular views. And, now, back to work...

I didn't do anything to the rig yesterday and won't today unless it turns out to be black tank dump time. I'm just glad both a/c's are working well. I may clean the filters later today, but that is done inside. It is too darn hot to do much else.

Replaced the bumper caps with the Camco "No-Insect" model. Haven't had a problem there yet but would rather prevent it than deal with it after it occurs. Also replaced the hand-held shower head and hose with a Camco model that includes a thumb-slide to shut the water flow off. The original unit did not have the shut off and the fitting on the faucet end was cracked and leaking.

Still pending is installation of a second MaxxAir vent which will have to wait for a dryer day than today.... Next trip out is in a couple of weeks so should get it done before then.

Brought it home from storage. Tested the brakes on the way home; from 20 mph, I was able to stop the whole rig with the manual slider in about 50 yards (est). Checked the mounting nuts/bolts under the trailer and tightened as necessary. Discovered that my primary propane tank is empty, so dismounted it and it's ready to go get filled. That's our second 30 lb tank in almost 3 years, so our propane usage isn't too bad (or we're not using the trailer enough!)

Examined one of the pigtails from propane tank to regulator that's looking pretty ratty (the other was replaced in the first year under warranty, it still looks good), so I ordered a replacement pigtail and adapter fitting to be here tomorrow (about $15 on Amazon for the pigtail and adapter). I'll mount it up "in the field" this weekend if I don't get a chance to do it in the driveway.

Still have a lot to do!!
