Preventative roof maintenance w/Dicor sealant (next Eternabond tape) and installed BAL front stabilizers.

I installed a Scanguage D and a new wireless DVD player. I replaced the DVD player because it was cheaper and an easier task than replacing the TV with a smart unit.

Getting my camper ready for the trip to Pirates Cove in California, I started packing the wheel bearings and such. It seems silly to me as the trailer has less than 5000 miles on it and most vehicles with wheel bearing go way further between services. Anyway, I noticed one of the drums was really dragging when I got the wheel off. I figured someone at the factory. I figured I would be able to just readjust the shoes and move on with life. Not the case. The drum is smoked and the shoes were almost nonexistent. It's now down at the shop having them check on the warranty. Fun times this Saturday turned out. On the flip side, I guess it's better to find it now then out in the middle of BFE when it completely comes apart.

Post back on flaring your brake line. I got the kit and my brake line wouldn't flare in 2 different clamps. Turns out the line is .040 shy of being true 1/4". I could get it to single flare but not do a double flare like it needs.

Today's project was a simple one. I added some hinges to the area below the dinette benches. The plywood was cut to size but there were no hinges. Now we just open the area for storage rather having to remove the entire platform.

I did this on both dinette benches.

I got the Victron BMV-712 Battery Monitor installed. That was the last piece of this round of electrical upgrades.

Replaced the interior light fixtures with LED fixtures. The switches on the factory ones were all wonky, sometimes worked and sometimes didn't. Plus, the LED ones should use less power.

I overhauled the sail switch on the furnace. The furnace would not work when I winterized last fall. I put off the fix until now. During the winter I read different posts on what the trouble could be on both here and other sites. The repair itself was easy, putting the furnace on the bench? Not so easy. While I was reinstalling the furnace, I moved one of the duct hookups. One of the duct hoses had the circulation fan blocked off about 80% would be my guess. Now the furnace works and we have more air flow. I did find one duct going into the TT basement. I know now that our tanks all have heat to them. Have a nice day all out there in Jayco land .

I wired in a cut-off switch for the 12v Furrion entertainment unit so I can completely deenergize it and eliminate it's phantom draw on the 12v system. Now that I have the Victron BMV-712 in place I can see what my real "resting" draw is - 0.2A. As far as I know the only items now on any time the battery disconnect switch is on are the propane detector, the ARP Fridge Defend device and the Coleman digital thermostat.

Since the trailer is stored along the same side of the house as my computer workstation I can actually hook up to the BMV-712 from my Mac when parked for a nice, big screen display:

Replaced the three foam rubber sofa cushions on the rear couch with 6” GoTo firm cushions. Wow, what a huge difference! Here is a comparison of the factory blue 5.5” and leftover white GoTo 6”:

No more sinking when you sit down and feels great! It’s a bear of a job for two people if you attempt, but we’ll worth it. Only negative is when folded out, the bed creates a 2” offset as we didn’t cut the rear taper. Will add two 2” foam inserts cut to size will fix and make it very comfortable and store them under the couch.

Washed trailer [roof was washed last Saturday]. Loaded more food in the fridge, and cleaned the outside of the windows.

What Did You Do To Your RV TODAY?

Got a new blackstone 17” table top griddle combo. It has the flat griddle on one side and a burner on the other. Also comes with a fry basket and pan to put over the burner to deep fry your favorite foods[emoji3]

Going to use it instead of the bigger, heavier camp chef.
