I knew someone was going to ask that! Actually it is a three wire switch and the old switch was two wire. I started checking videos of wiring up three wire switches and got totally confused. So called up an electrician friend of mine. He tied the white and black wires together and hooked them to the negative side of the light, and the red went to the positive side.
Both original wires going into the switch were black. Took him 15 minutes to do the whole thing including cutting the hole larger. Saved me a lot of aggravation trying to find a good ground and another positive like videos were saying.

There's always that extra wire or that special tool involved lol.

They were looking for food that wasn’t there. I’ve got 10 acres that I camp on, so it sits in that same spot all summer.

Installed new steps on the camper. The PO did an axle flip and the 2 step stairs left a 17” difference between the ground and bottom step. I’m not sure why this site always flips the pictures...

Watched the crew level and form up the new RV pad on the side of our new house. Will pour a 12' by 36' concrete pad tomorrow, so our baby can be close by. Next would be to add a 30 or 50 amp plug outside next to pad. Already have a sewer cleanout close by so we will be good to go. I'll have a place to live when the in-laws come to visit. LOL
Happy RVing,
Jeff

Pulled the cover off with my son’s help. A little dusty but will give it a good washing and check the roof and other caulking this weekend. I’m an optimist, so I’m hoping we will be able to travel soon.

At less than $20 a wheel, it's cheap peace of mind for the next couple of years, so I foresee a couple of greasy weekends ahead :-)

keep one set when done, grease them put them in a double vacuumed pack bag with a grease seal and put it in your trailer it is cheap insurance on the unlikely event of a failure...

Finally got around to adding some restraints in the pass-through to hold the 200 watt solar suitcase in place. I used a 4" barrel bolt so that I can just slide the bolt down over the edge to hold the top firmly in place. There is a piece of 3/8" flexible foam packing material affixed to the barrel bolt to provide a little extra cushion between the bolt and the aluminum frame. Along the bottom I put a couple small pieces of angle plastic to keep the bottom from sliding forward. The DW made a nice fleece slipcover for it as well which adds to the protection when stored.

Knocked the mud dobber nests out of back side of fridge...then screened the inside of the cover to prevent reoccurred infestation.

Picked it up out of winter storage. Then ran over to get the tires rotated.
In a way wish it could have stayed in the fairgrounds. Doesn't look like we can get out for a while.

Opened it up and turned on the AC...but it wouldn’t come on! I’m now trying to figure out why I can get the compressor to run if the t-stat is on “run” but not when it’s on “auto”. I’m leaning to a bad t-stat because once the set temperature is reached, and the compressor shuts off, it won’t come on again if I lower the temperature.
These crappy Coleman Mach thermostats are pricey if you need a black one with furnace and heat pump!

Dewinterized her and gave her a bath. Found some small cracks in the sealant on the roof so I’ll take care of that next.

Caulked all of the seams in the front overlapping aluminum siding with clear Proflex RV. Then went down both sides of the two front edge strips, fridge vent, pass-through storage doors and running light housings. They actually all looked pretty good, but I figured this will fill any little cracks and provide a little peace of mind!
