Just finished making Puff the Magic Wagon smell like Christmas. A quarter bottle of pure peppermint extract infused on cotton balls strategically located all around the TT. Kayaks and other summer sports gear stored away inside. All the other winterizing taken care of; tomorrow morning we'll haul him off to the lot for a long rest before we start up again next April/May.

Digital Thermostat

In preparation for next weekend's outing, I installed a LuxPro Digital Thermostat (2 Wire Heat) from PlumbersStock.com.

Washed the exterior and wiped down the interior.

We drove Harvey the RV to the Mesilla Pecan Festival in Mesilla NM. Mainly to recharge Harvey's batteries (back to 100% thank you!)

Last week, washed it, waxed it. Today I removed the Maxxair vents and cleaned them. Whew, they were dirty inside and out. Getting ready for next week's winterizing trip at a full hookup campground.

Changed out the bathroom faucet, as many have already done. Got rid of the cheapo TT faucet and installed one I can actually get my hands under to wash. Little gooseneck looks good and matches the kitchen faucet too.

Happy RVing,
Jeff

There is a great doc on the Dimplex web site on how to do it which I d/l the last time. It is not complicated or hard, but it does help to know what to expect vs just jumping in and taking out screws. The only tool was a #2 phillips screw driver and a cup of coffee.
It is 50 degrees outside this morning and the repair above was successful and things are warming up in here nicely this morning.

We all like DIY repairs that actually work. Fortunately this was just a cleaning.

Drove past it in the driveway, this morning, wishing we could go one more time. Finally back to work, after the broken arm incident, and am getting slammed with overtime. Not looking good for another trip, so it'll get winterized and covered up on Wednesday. Bummer....

Got back from camping at Lake Ray Roberts. Got the call that my new tires were in while driving home, so we drove straight to Good Year. New shoes on the RV...got home unpacked and blew out all the lines just in case.

Only mishap was that when we arrived at camp site and opened up, the shower door had shattered, with the latch still in the locked position??? So cleaned up the mess and didn't let it ruin the trip! We all had a great time! Even had some neighbors come stay one night with us.
