I fixed a leak under the bathtub WITHOUT having to remove the tub itself!! I was able to cut the Pex line out and thread a new one in, I used a crimp fitting under the sink and a push to connect fitting under the tube. I found a wall vent that fit perfectly over the hole I cut. I can open the vent and keep an eye on the area too. Even a fool gets lucky once!

I also winterized the lines too. Unfortunately with winter in the Rockies right around the corner it just made sense. If we decide to head south for a weekend it’s a quick turnaround...

Finally got time to scrub the roof and wash it after our last trip. The new Hi-Rise canopy on the F-250 definitely reduced the amount of bugs on the front cap so not quite the effort to clean that after trips now which is nice.

Brought it up from the RV yard to test what was a leak around the water pump when hooked into city water, apparently from the back pressure. I retightened the outflow hose fitting on the pump and did my best contortionist moves to tighten the screws on the pump diaphragm housing. Hooray — no leak! Then I drained and blew out all the lines, although we hope to squeeze in one last short trip. If not, I’m ready for winter.

A couple of small projects over the weekend. First, earlier this summer, we had an area of the LED light strip start to separate from the awning fabric. It is sewn on from the factory and the tread is failing. We held it up temporarily with some Gorilla Tape. But, we finally had a chance to fix the loose section correctly yesterday. We purchased some UV resistant thread and reattached the section. My wife worked from the roof and I stood on an 8' step ladder from the bottom. It took us a couple of hours to get the section fixed. But, I think it was worth the effort.

After that, I went over the sealant with some new Dicor.

So you just used a needle & thread plus 2 hours Of your time and saved$$$.
Need to do that on my 10 year old awning, thanks for that info.

Got him all ready for his winter slumber. A bit of a panic while pumping in the antifreeze. When I popped the screen off the fresh water intake and popped in the backflow valve, it stuck open. I had a geyser of pink stuff shooting out the side of the TT until I could run around and hit the pump switch. Cost me about a half-gallon of AF. Had to get DW out to help me as it took 3 attempts to get the dang thing to seat itself properly again and shut off the flow.

The kayaks are now stacked neatly inside and tomorrow morning I'll drive him back out to the storage yard for the last time in 2020. Already looking forward to the '21 camping season and getting online at 7:00am on those cold January mornings to start booking those prime campsites.

Seems to me the biggest accomplishment was getting your DW to go up on the roof and work leaning over the side. Kudos to her! I don’t even like climbing around on the roof let alone hang over the edge!

Cleaned off the rust that has accumulated on the trailer coupler and repainted it with POR-15.

My son and I scrubbed the roof. Checked all the dap sealant on the roof, Washed and waxed the trailer.

Yes, that is all it took. The awning fabric is in great shape. The thread is just failing. I did open up the holes in the plastic of the light strip with a 1/16" drill bit. It made pushing the needle through it a lot easier.

My wife and I have always worked extremely well together. In the 23 + years we've been together, we have done engine and transmission swaps, clutches, wheel bearings, ball joints, fuel pumps, etc. on vehicles and remodeled a house and several other home projects.

The key for us is working to where we are both comfortable. She preferred laying on the roof instead of balancing on the ladder. That worked perfectly for this project.

My hat’s off to you both! And nice work on the awning — bet you saved a bundle doing that yourself.

Our power was out here when I came home from work. Had to run the houses on the generators for a few hours until it came back on. Trees fell on a line just down the road. As hard as it is blowing right now, I wouldn't be surprised if it went out again.
