Pulled it 600 miles from Angel Fire back to Texas today. Cleaned up the interior/unpacked and then decided one more night in camp driveway couldn’t hurt. As an added bonus I managed to keep the trailer attached to the truck throughout my travels this time. Tomorrow is exterior cleaning.

Second time in only a few days. I like that run up 287 between here and Amarillo. Lots cool stuff on the roadside as I pass through those small towns. Would like to have seen some of those towns 50 years ago.

BEST place to eat between Amarillo and Ft. Worth is the Medicine Mound Depot Restaurant in Quanah. They were serving unadvertised Cajun specials on Tuesdays. Everything on the menu is just plain delicious. Lunch is the best time to go. They were closed for over a year because of a fire. All good now.

Good to know. Seems like a good excuse to hit the state park there.

Winterized it. Also had to extend my 30 amp outlet in my building. Added 16 ft to the building so the outlet was no longer on the wall.

You’re supposed to clean them?

Do not know about this coming year with the Covid virus, but my experience is from Feb 1 to Oct 31, you better have made reservations a year in advance if staying in the Phoenix/Scottsdale/Tuscon areas.

Finished what i started in the spring — caulking every outside area that could potentially leak someday — around windows, door, corner strips, marker lights, lag bolts on awning etc. Used Proflex RV clear, which works well. Seemed strange to worry about preventing leaks when it’s in the 90s this week, but the rains will be here soon enough. Ready for one last quick trip before wrapping her up.

I have a 174BH, single battery, and single propane really inconvenient to change as it's held on by 2 bolts to angle iron on the A-frame. We do a fair amount of dry camping, and I also hate carrying a propane cylinder in the bed of the truck.

Today I installed dual batteries, battery cutoff, and dual propane cylinders. I bought a duplicate of the battery box it came with, cutting the handle off one I could fit them both on the existing rack. Ordered extra cables and a battery cutoff switch as it annoys me I have to either disconnect the battery cable or put a trickle charger on it at all times due to the propane/CO sensor. Mounted the cutoff switch to the cover of the junction box behind the battery, cut and ran the negative wire to the battery through the switch. Wired the two batteries in parallel. SOO much better. Installed the 2-cylinder tray over the old one with self-tapping bolts.

Eventually I'll probably install a self-switching regulator hooked to both cylinders, but for now, I'll handle it manually as I just had the regulator replaced under warranty.

suspension upgrade

Installed Sumo springs on my Greyhawk 29MV. It took me longer to get the tools together than to install them. Easy project well worth the expense and time.

Can you specify what tinted window and shade you installed? Thanks.

I went down to storage and winterized it even though I'm hoping for 1 more trip. Night time lows here will be in the upper 20's for about 6-7 hours for the next 2 nights. $8 cost to winterize and I'll sleep better.
