Finally found some time to run the remote pendant for the Progressive Dynamics PD4655 converter/charger I replaced the OEM WFCO 8955 with last spring. Up until now I'd just been using the default charge wizard button located on the 12v distribution board. While technically accessible by simply flipping the cover open, it was a pain and you had to keep the cover open, or keep opening it to check the status. The pics below show the default configuration without the pendant as well as the updated configuration with the pendant. I did leave the jumper cable between the 12v distribution board and the main board coiled up on top the cooling fan so I can easily reattach it if something happens to the pendant.

Installed the AIRFLOW baffle system in my bedroom Coleman MACH 8 AC...AC wasn't installed straight so had to straighten the AC first before could put the bolts back in...that was a feat in itself...I was concerned a bit of doing this myself in the first place that I would screw up the seal to the roof or not get the bolt compression correct - but after re-aligning the AC straight and ensuring the seal was even all around the opening, as best possible, I think I got it done right... no pics, I was worn out and just wanted to get it done before it got too hot here....air flow appears to be a little better out of the vents....
no would be nice to be able to do the same to the front AC that is purely ducted (no opening from inside the RV)...to much of a risk on ensuring proper alignment without being able to access from inside....

Headed out to pick it up from storage. Sadly not ahead of a "fun and awesome adventure", but instead to be used as temporary office/living quarters while our S&B home undergoes some much needed renovation.

Maybe I'll have a chance to knock a few items off the mod/maintenance list...

Finally got rid of the metal 12 volt connection box on the front of the frame. Installed a 10 lug Pollak junction box, in case we want to add a circuit or two. Very straight forward and although a little time consuming, wasn't a tough job.

Backwards, but you get the idea. I found the white ground wires starting to corrode in the wire nut. That would've been a potential issue down the road.

Took a perfectly good new RV and rebraced the dinette seats BEFORE anything goes wrong.. I am still appalled at how flimsy and lacking in corner bracing these things are.

Added hooks and towel rings where they should be. We got used to the wardrobe in the 195 and the 212 doesn't have one.

If no ceiling access, how do you mount it to the roof? Inquiring minds want to know...and need a picture.

That is very nice . Did you use all 10 lugs? Where did you get the box? That is my next project. I found these on Amazon, one comes with a wired up power cord, both are only 7 lugs. Both Made in China.

What Did You Do To Your RV TODAY?

Been 3 weeks since I installed the new ICON smoke polycarbonate shower skylight from hail damage on Apr 12. See post #8908. Bright sunlight shines through still way too bright. I finally got around to spraying the VHT Night Shade today to darken it. I elected to spray it from the roof and so glad I did, even though it is somewhat windy here in the Davis Mtns in west TX. The can leaks drops of the black translucent paint and would’ve made a terrible mess on me and the shower stall.

I only wiped the dust off, no pre-sanding, and did 4 coats because after 3, I could still see the tan rubber roof material. Before, you could not see down through the factory dark smoke skylight. With a hot surface in sunlight, about a 1 min between coats as the paint dried almost instantly. It took both hands to spray as I kneeled on the rear end side and did the best I could. Not very even coats due to the variable wind and changing hands. Half can was still left.

Ok, so there’s a little character shade showing through. I’ll get up there again later with some compound to smooth the transitions. Overall, I think this should blockout some of the excess heat of the sun.

Not all 10. Just the usual 7 terminals, well 6, no reverse lights, but thought it might be nice to have a few spare terminals in it. Bought it from etrailer.com.

I'm glad the DW had one of those foam kneeling pads for gardening. I spent most of the time on my knees. I used 4 stainless bolts and nuts I had here to mount it to the frame, and other than the ring terminals, it came with all the rest of the hardware. I've been wanting to do this for a long time too, just had to find the box I wanted.

The queen foam mattress that came with our coach is not suitable for anyone who wants a good nights sleep. During a recent trek to a Nellis AFB FamCamp in Las Vegas, I googled for a mattress store nearby. Mattress King came up and off we went to their store. They custom made a short queen quickly. All I can say it is heavenly. I cannot believe what a fine and comfortable mattress it is. It does not fold at the bottom like the factory foam, so when the slide is in it bends up the interior wall. This is not a problem. When we store the coach I put the bedroom slide out. I consider myself lucky to have found Mattress King in Las Vegas

My new tires, Good Year G614, were just delivered to my tire dealer. He has had them on order direct from Good Year for months. Their production date was in February 2021. You can't much fresher than that. Now to get them installed.

Got the MicroAir EasyStart learning process done on the AC. Now to test it with my Champion 2000w inverter generator. Also, really pleased with the wireless rear view camera I installed. Nice clear picture going down the Interstate at 65mph. 46' between the camera and monitor.

I went with this one based on a recommendation over on the FTE Forum. It is a Chinese made product but seems well made. Cheaper on Amazon but I couldn't get the link to work.
