DW cleaned out the rest of the camper last week and told me I was responsible for cleaning the shower floor. So, today, I hooked up city water, thru my water meter and pressure regulator set to 50 PSI. Cleaned the shower floor and the teak shower floor mat, then just let the water run. When the tank monitor showed 1/3 full, I turned off the shower and opened the bathroom sink taps and let it run. I now know which tank is filled by which tap, and I know which of my grey tank drains is tank 1 and tank 2.

Wiped inside down, arranging basement, sorting what I need and don't and getting ready for first outing of the year. Angel Fire Balloon event will most likely be cooler than my current 100 degrees with 110 heat index.

Nothing. Absolutely. Nothing. And it’s killing me . To add insult to injury, I got to watch my neighbors pack up and drive by with their Wolf Pup. Aaarrrgghh.

Wink A/C conversion

Been watching YouTube on how to make your a/c more efficient ,Checking ours it doesn't seem to move the air out of the ducts to well so got my foam board (high density) from Lowes and going to direct the airflow as shown in video. Always like it when a plan comes together:

Make sure to look at the duct vents and tape from the ceiling to the duct and remove the white plastic collar if you have a ducted a/c. This helped as I had several leaks where a/c was cooling the “attic”.

Just checked the serial number on our Dometic stove . My neighbor has the same Jayco model TT and got a letter about the recall. Ours isn’t among the recalled models. Yay!

Cleaned out the inside and emptied fridge & pantry. I think we brought back half of Utah’s desert sand with us! Tomorrow I’ll blow out water lines and wash the external.

Got the exterior washed & waxed...All the water lines blown out. I cleaned both A/C units, the coils, & combed all the fins. So after our trip to Utah in Zion, Bryce, Arches, Canyon Lands, & Moab I think we'll be set for our trip to Top Sail in FL next month.

Only thing bad that happened with regards to our trip to Utah was that I discovered on our last day that the Micro SD Card in the GoPro was corrupted! So all the video I took is jacked & it wants me to format it! I'm hoping that I can image the SD Card tomorrow at the office and recover all the video footage...we shall see??

I'll try and do a quick write up with some pics in the up coming week with how long we stayed where and what all we did.

Just recently washed the roof and rest of the TT, clean all the windows, dress the tires and rims, cleaned the TV, cleaned all the windows, and dressed the tires and rims.

Installed many new LED lights to replace the crappy ones that started to strobe already. Went ahead and got a jump on the ones that weren't strobing, as well. Replaced 17 of those little buggers. I think there are only 5 to go and they'll all be replaced and matching throughout the unit.

Gotta do some taping repairs to the underbelly cuz someone's repair work is failing (not mine, haha).

Troubleshot why the TT brakes weren't working as they should; found another broken wire at the factory compression fitting. (Geeze, that's two of the four now. Can ya see where this is going?)

Figured out how to get bluetooth working on the stereo with my phone so they connect now. Cool listening to my music instead of the ads on the radio.

Installed a bottle cap opener to the wall where there was something actually solid to support it to.

Placed a cool Happy Camper sign that my daughter painted in-between the windows of the slide-out. Looks neat! First thing you see when you enter the camper.

Happy camping everyone!

There is some recovery software out there that can pull as much as possible off that card. RescuePRO Deluxe is what I've used. I think it's something like $60, but it has saved my butt twice with pictures from photo shoots. There is a Standard version for $40, as well. Good luck!

* * * THIS DID NOT HAPPEN TO ME * * *
Sunday afternoon heard on the local County Police/Fire dispatch radio: "Attention all Donley County units, we have received several reports of a RAM pulling an RV that is on fire and the driver seems unaware. They are Eastbound on US 287 near County Rd 17." A couple of minutes later, "5B502 (Texas DPS), Donley Co, he is WESTBOUND and stopped east of (FM)3257 and it looks like the driver has entered the RV, get Clarendon fire department paged out. (RV was eight miles west of reported location). "4 (Undersherrif) to Clarendon I'm 10-23, and yes he's on fire." Clarendon Fire and EMS responded, on scene within five or six minutes. Next call was for next rotation wrecker to handle the RV.
Talked to the Fire Chief of Clarendon Volunteer Fire Department. Asked him what was going on with an RV on fire and he simply said - refrigerator. He said the owner told him he had purchased the RV early last year and they hadn't had it out because of CV-19. Then, this year, when they did get out with it last month, the refrigerator wouldn't cool. They had left it plugged in for three days and it never got below 50 degrees. They called for appointment with the selling dealer (unknown, only four in Amarillo) to look at it enroute New Mexico and they had an appointment for 900am Monday. Fire Chief reported the two dry chem fire extinguishers put the fire out, but the entire 35 or 40 foot unit had smoke damage and the outside had heat damage to the wall above the vent and the roof cap. No one injured, and they got all their personal belongings out, but majority of the non-refrigerated food and entire kitchen was...toast. Appeared to him to be a 6 or 7 cubic ft Dometic refrigerator...had been operating on propane for just over an hour.
I'm guessing they didn't make their appointment. I'm also guessing their insurance company will e visiting the yard where the RV is located.
Sure am glad I keep the back side of my Norcold cleaned out.

What Did You Do To Your RV TODAY?

Put the fiver in our new rv port for our first night under cover. The new side panels were installed today. Original ones were damaged and they couldn’t put them on Sunday. Wow, the a/c is much louder outside underneath, as the sound bounces off the roof and fortunately can’t notice any difference inside at this time. Should make a noticeable difference in this Llano TX heat, though. And no more hail threats while on our home base.

It was fun getting it exactly where I wanted. Wanted 6” gap from bunkhouse side, but forgot about the slide topper roller mech which sticks out another 3” or so! But we leave on Thursday morning for for fun journey thru Branson to Ft Wayne IN

And before all this, replaced all four and five year old amber LEDs on the front cap. Outside driver side LED had burned out, mig hit not pass TX inspection. Much brighter now with 3 elements instead of OEM one. Amazon. Hopefully they last, but beware, very little wire could be pulled out on the old ones. Use a small gentle vise grip to keep the cut wire from falling back in as your making crimp connections!

First night went well inside, from bedroom, main a/c drone sounded no different. Luckily, I remove my hearing aids when I sleep.
