Added a go power portable 130 watt kit to my trailer so I have an alternative to running the generator to keep my batteries charged.

Cell phones will work better than hand-held radios. Especially if your TV has bluetooth for your phone. Then you can communicate with your spotter hands free and concentrate on maneuvering your rig into the spot you want without having to pick up the walkie-talkie and keying it to talk.

If you happen to be at a place where there is no cell phone service then you will have to use the walkie-talkie's.

Excellent point, and yes, I noticed as soon as we got started that I could communicate without hands, although the radios have a hand less feature, it is clumsy.

Pinnacle got a quick wash with our new Sun Joe SPX 3000 electric power washer. Worked very nice, although the soap cannon I ordered, different brand, has yet to arrive.

Well, still doing....

I was unable to wax last year, resulting in extra oxidation. A little polish and a lot of time, to remove it. Half of the back done in the photo.Click image for larger version

Added a sewer hose carrier. Glad to get stinky slinky out of the front storage area. I don’t care how much you clean it, it still has a smell that lingers…. That last part may be purely made up in my head, but I swear it smells better in the camper already.

Aired trailer tires to 82PSI, getting ready for a short trip this coming week. Sprayed a little dry lube on the Slim Rack rails and the teeth on the Flush through the floor slide. Sprayed some Fluid Film in a few spots that were showing some rust on the under carriage. Found the outdoor temperature probe, lol.

Sadly I gave it a good wash today starting from the roof and working my way down, including a second wash to get the black streaks off then polished her up. Took longer with the aircast on than normal, but at least I could get it done. Then put on a show for the first time in 10 weeks and hauled it out to the storage facility...

Here's to a better year next year.

Added a brass check valve to the line coming out of the water pump. It will allow flow from the pump to the distribution lines, but prevent back flow into the pump when connected to city water, which is just about always. I was fighting a small leak at the pump fitting when on city-connect, and this will also prevent my FW tank from filling if the pump’s internal check valve fails.

That's a great idea. Is the water flow from the pump still the same, or did it decrease it any?

All I did was wash all the bug splat off the front of the TT (and truck). It seems I'm doing my best to decrease the number of live insects here in NY!

I am following this also. I have a few brass backflow valves from a previous attempt to stop blast of hot water in the shower.

We are prepping for a Fall trip to W. North Carolina and I spent some time sanitizing the fresh tank and plumbing. Getting ready to flush it all out and put some clean water in the fresh tank and a new filter. Fridge is on and we are packing for 33 days on the road.

Thanks. The valve is a Valterra and is supposed to open at about 1 psi, so it shouldn’t impede pump flow. I only use the pump about once a year to sanitize the lines but I will test it as soon as I can get it up to the house.

It’s a little bit of a MacGyver set up, but I think it will work. The original elbow fitting at the pump started leaking and the one an RV tech installed was no better. Bought another ShurFlo OEM elbow on Amazon but city connect water should never get to it with the check valve. I was going to stick a shutoff valve in there but this way I don’t have to remember to open it every spring to sanitize . I’ll report back.

Crawled under the TT to give the wet bolts a shot of grease. One wouldn't take it, so I'll jack it up when it gets away from the house. It had to be one on that side.....

Couldn’t wait any longer to check my plumbing handiwork (post #9373) so hitched it up and managed to roll the cover up enough on both sides to pull it 100 yards to our RV lot water hookup. Success! Not even a drip under full pressure. I didn’t take the time to put water in the FW tank and try the pump but I think the check valve will work fine for that. Whew! Picture shows myMacGyver hookup .

While I was at it, I reattached the foil furnace ducting that the RV tech tore up pretty good when replacing the sail switch. It was barely attached and the foil tape was falling off. I put duct zip ties that I got at ACE on all ends. Work great and actually are removable. In all, a productive afternoon.

Nice neat job Duck. I'll have to keep that idea in mind if our pump backflow fails.

Thank you! I’ll try the pump within the next month (gotta squeeze one more trip in!) I’ll let you know how it works.
