cleaned up all the contents of the refrigerator that was on the floor after the doors came open on our last leg in to the campground ... not sure why the locking latch is failing but will be adding strap or something to it soon to prevent that happening again....that was the second time in less than three or four trips on our fall leg of travel...not too bumpy roads either as nothing else was really out of place ... other than normal shifting...

Norcold or Dometic? Norcold hinge failure has recall and causes this to happen. Nothing wrong with the latch, its hinge drop and door alignment.

It's the Whirlpool Residential side-by-side French door fridge...the current locking mechanism is good, just the screws don't stay screwed into the metal after jingles around ... no matter what type glue I used...even filled the screw holes with glue and tooth picks, the rv movement still jiggled the lock mechanism loose somehow...

Is the metal thin enough to use pop rivets?

I think so, I might try that next... the latch hook plate on left side is about 1/8" thick, so might be able to
rivet that but the hook/sllde part on the right is over 5/16" thick so don't. think can rivet that....

Busy morning….

Washed it, scrubbed some of the funk off the underside of both awnings, lubed all the slides, lubed the slide seals, got one propane tank filled, checked all the water connections, and tested everything accept the AC.

Now, headed back to tighten up the spare tire mount, check pressure on all four and apply some spray on wax to the front cap.

Yeah, I had the time and it’s parked in the driveway at my MIL’s so easy to work on it there vs storage or in front of my house in the street. About once or twice a year I go over it like this. Headed to NM this weekend and wanted to get in front of any issues before we’re out there.

ICYMI it has snowed twice in Angel Fire, there is snow on Wheeler Peak and NMDOT might have finished traffic disruption on US 64 from the RV Resort down the hill in Cimarron Canyon. I think I saw someplace its been as low as 24 overnight...and the road between I-25 and Cimarron is no better than it's ever been.

Measure out the Wall Bracket for the TV over the Dinnette.

What's the TV size limit? 27" ? 32"?

I installed the rails on the puck system for the first time and put the Anderson hitch on the truck. My previous truck what is a 99 F3 50 crew cab long bed this is a 2019 GMC 3500 also CCLB. I figured everything would pretty much be the same regarding position of the hitch in the bed and hooking up to the camper well I was waiting for multiple surprises.

Before any adjustments were made you can see how close the tailgate is to the box on the fifth wheel. The Anderson hitch was turned so it pushed everything backwards this setting was perfect on the old truck. However you can definitely see a potential problem here. So the first thing I did was turn the Anderson hitch around that pulled everything forward allowing for clearance of the tailgate in bed rails. However I barely had 4 inches of space between the top of the tailgate in the bottom of the camper.

The Anderson hitch ball at this point was in the middle hole, if you’re not familiar with them you there’s three height adjustments built into the hitch. I tried raising the ball up to the top hole, that provided a little more clearance however the camper did not sit level., And this did not provide for any adjustments on with the Andersen hitch and I personally did not care for the leverage this also gave the ball and/or put on the hitch itself.

I unhooked everything, dropped the pin box down one set a holes, put the ball back in the middle hole hooked everything back up. I had slightly over 6 3/4 inches of clearance between the tailgate and the camper, I can still back under the camper with the tailgate open with no worries of hitting the camper. I’m ready to roll for the weekend…

Ordered tires Monday from Discount Tire, got here today. Date code on the Goodyear Endurances is 3621. That's some fresh rubber.

Oh I wish I can do that but living in a gated community I'm not allow to do that, they say that I can keep it out in front for no more than 48 hrs but I don't care to bring it their so I do what I can out to storage.

So are you taking the RV to NM and if so enjoy I'm hoping that we can take our out one more time.

Great that whole setup look good and I think that the clearance will work, let us know how things go when you get back and enjoy.

Well I was at my storage yesterday and I did a couple of things, one I replace my regulator for my propane tank, it had be leaking so I bought it from a member here and I install it.

Two when we were at our last camp site the fridge didn't work at that well, it was okay but you all know about these fridge have problem keeping up, we went to Sparks NV and it was about 90 degrees.

So after looking and asking some of the members here and looking at YouTube video I decided to try to help it out a little, I didn't get finish because of it was getting dark but here are some pics.

On the bottom pics is where you see the white and a black wire that are going in those white connector their is where I tap the wire into and they work great.

The next thing I need to do is to rig up a flasher inside in the top vent to route the hot air out, the bottom fans take in air and the top one take out the hot air. I hoping that I can get at least 10 more degrees out of it.

Changed a tire before the Endurance tire blew as the tread was separating….then took hours attempting to find one at one of the many tire stores in Myrtle Beach SC…none to be found locally….nearest location that had an Endurance tire was located in Florida….so had to settle for a Firestone Transforce for the spare…..had to have something for a spare to get home….

About how many miles do you think you had on those tires?

Just over 13,000…..one of the tires threads had that rounded look compared to the other three that look pretty flat across the threads….plus air pressure was down 8psi compared to the other three that were checked just before we left on this trip…the tire dealer also agreed the thread was separating and about to fail….all the rest of my tires look fine….
