There you are!! Thanks, looking forward to the pics. So you were not particularly concerned about keeping Lippert happy, lol.

Started getting some preliminary dimension to build a tire carrier that will carry the spare tire horizontal under the propane tanks, similar to the 32 RBDS we used to have. On my 3rd iteration of the design. Each one gets more simple. Won’t begin until I mount a black aluminum diamond plate toolbox on the tongue for the batteries and set up items, sometime early next spring. Waiting on feedback from one of the manufacturers who’s box is 1/2” shorter and narrower than others as space is a premium. Being an engineer I tend to over analyze everything but seldom do things a second time. Like getting to the campground, not in a rush to complete this.

Blew off the accumulated pine needles, gave it good washing. Hooked up the TV electric and tested the lights. Installed the foam gutter wedges for the dinette seating. Installed the bike rack on the tounge.
Lots left to do. We're leaving Saturday for 2 months in Florida! Longest trip ever!

We are in Wilmington's NC KOA for new year's. As many of you already know, new Pinnacles come with dumb TV's installed. The main one in the Televator is fine as I stuck a Firestick in the front, and it does all we want. The outside one I have yet to use, and not sure about the mount behind it to remove. The bedroom unit, 32", Mama decided she wanted it to stream and have internet access, so yesterday we trekked over to Best Buy, and found the same identical Insignia brand unit with Fire TV built in along with Netflix and many others for $159. The holes in the back are a perfect fit for the mount. The only issue was that the top back of the new unit is thicker than the old unit and hits the top of the wood cabinet keeping the TV mount from reaching the wall mount holes. I loosened the top 2 screws from the mount and allowed me to move it out just over a 1/4", and that worked. This morning I went to Lowes and bought a couple of shims and installed behind the top part of the wall mount for a secure fit. We now have a decent TV in the bedroom. Only issue is keeping me awake after I lay my head down, lol.

Been busy before the cold front.
Installed the Super Springs.
Replaced the lp regulator I replaced last February. While changing, let the supply hose hang down off the tt, it drained WATER. Had about a pint or so, and yes, I know-not normal. Will be getting the lines treated with alcohol and tanks inspected. Thanks, West Texas Gas.
Going to haul the rig to Bear Alignment on Ross-Osage Tuesday to get alignment problem with left rear wearing on the inside tread, and let Discount Tire put the new shoes on.

Took furniture marker to the kitchen entry step side panel where duct tape peeled off the faux wood paper - used duct tape to hold down extension cord used for the Christmas tree lights....wont do that again.

Busy day

Left the house at 900am sharp.
Three hubs needed between 2 to 4 notches in castle nut to tighten bearings, done before initial measurements taken.
Got the alignment problem corrected, front axle running L -1.5 degree camber, R -1 degree camber but dead center toe. Rear axle running L -1 degree camber, R -1.25 degree camber and L toed out 1/32nd inch. (No wonder inside tread wearing.) Even got invited into the pit to lend a hand with chains/ram/measurements for knowing enough about axles/alignment to be helpful.

Then off to Discount tire. Penske style pit stop as got swarmed by the crew, jacked up, tires removed, replaced, balanced and reinstalled and back on the pavement in 15 minutes.

Got the tt back in it's shed and plugged back in at 530pm.

Didn’t do anything to the RV today, but I went over to the Fort Worth RV Show tonight…got back about an hour ago. Definitely one of the smallest shows I’ve been to at this show…as far as quantity of units. LOTS of people! I talked with a couple of sales folks and they said it’s due to lack of inventory. BUT I would say close to 50% of the units on the floor were sold! I was shocked by the amount of sales and more importantly by the price increases!

I walked in on 2 salesmen high-fiveing in the bathroom and asked if I needed to come back later?? They told me that they were celebrating because they were killing it in sales at the show.

Still didn’t see anything that would make me want to give up my ‘16 North Point!

That’s interesting regarding the size. I’d kind of wondered how that would go. Not surprised by the sales. You should’ve wandered around telling folks how terrible RV’ing is…. Just to save a few sites here and there.

We were planning to go Friday but got bit by the Covid bug. Sounds like I didn’t miss much. Plus, it would have filled my head with crazy expensive class A ideas. Certainly enjoying my ‘19 Eagle fine enough as a quarantine camper.

What Did You Do To Your RV TODAY?

Long trip today. Moved from my site to the dump station, to another site. Made some small adjustment to my through frame slide out. Not perfectly where I’d like it, but good enough without screwing anything up. Camping solo, my tanks and one bag in trash can lasted 4 nights without rationing. Boring but efficient.

Finally - a beautiful dry day....on a weekend.... I got started on the installation of a WeBoost 25 ft telescoping antenna pole to add a directional antenna to the cell booster. Not wanting to stick the two wall plates directly to the side of the trailer I fashioned a couple metal plates for them and am u-bolting those to the large tube ladder on the rear. Unfortunately, WeBoost only included one of the adhesive wall plates so I need to get them to send me the second one before I can finish things up. The antenna should be arriving sometime next week as well.

dug it out of three feet of snow. Thawed the electric cord stuck to the ice. Moved it off the pad after sanding the plowed driveway( ice underneath) which means towing it into the street a bit. The recent snow piled up snowbanks several feet high and narrowed the street. Normally no traffic but as we were aiming to back down the driveway here comes a dual wing plow a conga line of Bobcats and John Deere tractor plows and a snowmobile. All the traffic at once!!!

Now off to get the feet of snow off the roof before going south. He wants to install new batteries..dual in parallel. Its two degrees.

The only mileage I've put on with the Sumos is from home to alignment shop, across town in Amarillo to tire shop, got lunch, got gas, all in city traffic and back home on I-40. 150 miles total round trip.

First observation is better bounce loading on the Andersen hitch. The tv feels less 'bouncy' and is also equipped with Sumos. Also not as much linear interference from passing vehicles on the highway. The Titan was well planted before Sumos, even better with them under all the axles.

Finally broke down and bought a 2-in-1 stapler/brat nail gun to fix those loose trim pieces...not all that pretty with the crown staples, but don't think they will be coming loose again anytime soon....

Recently took mine in for Furnace recall. They installed a thermal sleeve around the vent tube running from the furnace to outside. Not really sure what it does but the tech thought it had something to do with the thermocouple heat control.

Installed two batteries in parallel, installed bike rack. The batteries were not that easy as the current battery required a hair dryer to thaw it out of its mount. The strap was frozen solid.

Thawed extended electric cord so it will actually retract.

Stowed all repair gear, buckets , paddling gear, put boat racks on put boats on...yes this looks odd when you are on a lake with the ice fishermen out and the snowmobiles going by.

All this done at temperatures near zero F. It has not been above freezing since Christmas.

Also packed with gear and food although there is a ceramic heater plugged in as the floor is dam slippery when you come in with snow on your shoes. It sucks to slide and fall on the floor inside when loading your stuff inside. Trying to bring inside temp above 32 without using propane

Hopefullly on the road south tomorrow. Dodging another storm coming here with another 12 in Friday.

Good luck Kim...I know the feeling! I've removed my entire underbelly over the last 4 weeks, to install heater pads, pipe heaters, gate heaters & air skirts. Then I realized there was no insulation in our underbelly, so I had to install 4 rolls of R-30 insulation, then seal it all up again and spray expanding foam on all of the openings. To add, insult to injury, the first day (4 weeks ago) when I started this, I fell 13' off the roof of the rig and smashed my heals. Needles to say, I've had to do all of this with a cast on.... Luckily, we've only been down to -13°F for a low, and now that I have everything all done and installed, it's definitely time to sit back and enjoy the down time (until I start the next project )

Kim, you said your trying to heat the rig without propane!!?? How are you possibly trying to do that? I would assume you don't have running water; otherwise all your pipes would freeze for sure...
