What Did You Do To Your Jayco TODAY?

We turned on the furnace and lit the hot water heater for the first time.

Spent the day yesterday soldering and installing an LED light strip down the length of the trailer, and in the front storage compartment. Looks pretty darn awesome, if I may say so... Mounted it to the underside of the rain gutter, looks stock! Also changed out a bunch of bulbs for LED panels. Not too sure if this was a great idea, but we will see. Got cheap amazon panels, and it looks like you get what you pay for. We boondock mostly, so if these do OK, we can always spring for better ones later. Getting ready for a trip tomorrow! Rain as usual!

That's where I installed mine too. Looks like the belong. Even the service manager at my dealer is doing the same install.

After a couple of weeks of prepping our new used popup, I finally pulled it to the nearest campground yesterday. I get to go back on Monday to pull it back home.

I washed the roof last weekend and today I touched up the caulking. I cleaned out the front storage and reloaded everything. My wife and I cleaned out and organized the pantry and kitchen cup boards. It is amazing how much stuff you accumulate, we have room again in our cupboards. Getting ready to go to Oregon next week leaving on Friday. Tomorrow we are going to Camping World and picking up some bars to put in the cupboards to keep things in place. The curse of having a rear kitchen trailer, braking sends things to the edge of the doors and when you arrive at your destination it is raining cans when you open the cupboard door. After next week we will be at 20 nights camping.

Since it was our first full day owning it, we were busy. Added a Maxxair cover, screen bar, and an old-fashioned bottle opener near the front door. Of course we also stocked it full of essentials and started dreaming about our first outing.

Re: What Did You Do To Your Jayco TODAY?

Cleaned up the fridge and freezer, installed a paper towel holder, replaced plastic floor heat vents with metal ones with dampers, and installed 2 corner shelves between the door and dinette seat.

I added a shelf to the upper cabinet over the sink. Jodie was hating the jumble and wasted space.Click image for larger version

Took off the mirror and re-installed it on the outside of the bathroom door. Put up 2 coat racks where the mirror was located. Now we have a place to hang our coats.
