Put a Seally 2" memory/jell foam topper on the Queen bed. It only took us one night to figure out that thing was too stiff for us. Now it feels great.

I noticed my water heater was needing an occasional reset. The burner was failing to start when hot water was being used. All that was required to reset it was to turn off the switch inside and then turn it right back on. This always was happening right after or during a hard rain which we have had plenty of recently. So......

I fired up my air compressor and blew out the burner area as well as the gas orifice. It hasn't failed to start since so I guess that fixed the problem. Insects again I guess.

I'm packing it, hooking it up, towing it, setting it up and sleeping in it...probably taking a dump in it, too.

Checked for leaks after a torrential downpour (with slider out). Nothing to report!

Waiting for my second cup to perk and pondering what to do today. 12 days from now I move to my summer host site in Florida. It is amazing how much you spread out after a winter on one site.

I was going to unhook my external propane tank yesterday, but with the low temp forecast for last night at 47, I decided to wait. I'm glad I did since it is 48 here this morning.

First full day of first camping trip in new trailer. Going to exercise all the systems and find out where any problems are (if any)

I bought it. Actually not today, but yesterday. A 2014 19H. I lurked around and used y'all for research. We really like it. Seems there had to be sacrifices on any of them going with that size. They Jayco had the largest couch, which was a plus for us if extra sleeping space is needed. None of the manufactures seemed to offer any storage/cabinet space in the bathroom. But, we love it. Upgrading from a free from the in-laws 1972 Dutch Craft 16' that I renovated. It was a great little camper and the wife is sad to see it go. She looked inside the 19H and said "This is huge!" LOL

Howie,
Congratulations! and welcome to The Forum! I "lurked" for a while, myself, before joining in. We're glad you did. Make sure you post to the welcome mat thread, so everyone can get a chance to say "Howdy, Howie!"

Back in the rig after 2 weeks at my parents. Waiting for the rv park to open, so we're boondocking at WalMart.

Figured out how to unhook the tv mount so I could hook up the roku. In the process might have messed up the DVD player connection. Gonna have to try that later

Today was roof cleaning and treatment, check all caulking, and wash the entire rig. Now I'm looking for my wax guy. He is supposed to wax it as well as my truck this week.

Then a week from Thursday I'm off to my summer host position in Florida for 4 months.

My wax guy started waxing my Designer yesterday afternoon and he is now back this morning to finish. It is looking great just in time to pick up some love bugs while driving to Florida next week. Oh well, at least fresh wax will make them easier to remove when I get there.

Moved the rig to our summer spot. Water on the lake is still high but we're "home"

Put in the Universal Stove Cover (added some sticky back felt pads rather than screw it down), hung some more hooks using Command 3M 16lb stickies and hung a paper towel holder over the sink! 5 weeks until the next trip. Counting down the days to go to Lassen National Park!!

I slept in it last night for the second time and going back tomorrow with some supplies....water was on so no long walk at night to the washroom! Going to hook up BBQ and start building wooden stairs for easier access!

Cleaned up all of my "mess" that has spread out while on my home base for the past few months. Cleaned and reorganized the basement to get ready to travel. Topped off my two T-105 batteries (minimal water needed), unhooked my external propane tank, unhooked fresh water hose and stowed in the truck bed, took ground mat out of storage and put in truck, and removed and stowed solar landscape lights.

Now time for a cool glass of tea.
