Looked at it every time I walked past it while trimming out some new windows.......thinking, why aren't I sitting beside some lake or stream, kicked back with a cold one in my hand under the awning debating if I should just relax or go ahead and break out the fly rod................."yes honey, I'll get these done today and then tomorrow I'll pull out the other window and close that opening up.........."

Wives.............can't live without em and can't shoot em.... what's a man gonna do?

Had to get the chairs out for the fireworks show last night, so we gave her a good walk-around, put a little more water in the toilet, checked for leaks, etc. Cant wit to go get it next week for our next adventure!

Reattached the MaxxAir Vent. Pulled into the campground to find it hanging at an odd angle on the roof, and it turned out that all of the screws that attach it to the fan frame had worked loose and all that was holding it in place was a bracket that had hooked itself around the vent cover. Dealer installed it, and I didn't think to check it, but now another item for the checklist. Thankfully it didn't blow off on the highway and cause an accident. Once I can get to a hardware store I'll be replacing the sheet metal screws with bolts and locknuts.

Surge Protector moved indoors/Intro Card

I moved our surge protector from the service post end to the end of the shore power cord inside the back storage compartment....less hookup, anti-thief, and out of the weather.....

Also, not really done to the Jayco but related:

DW made us an introduction card, i.e. similar to business card, to use in our RV travels....nice way to share info with fellow RV'ers as we travel about various campgrounds.

I cleaned both a/c filters. It has been 30 days and they needed it since I'm in Florida and they both run a lot during the day.

Camera stopped working, and I can't figure out how to download pics from my cell phone to this new laptop, so I don't have pics to share.

I've been doing a lot of mods to prepare my trailer for full-timing. Put a toilet flush handle on the main door screen, so I can open it without letting the flies in through the little slider hatch. Finally got the front pass-thru and underside of bed insulated with 1-1/2" pink Styrofoam. I discovered that putting the 3" memory-foam mattress topper under the mattress (like a box spring) not only made the bed infinitely more comfortable, it also seals the gap between the plywood bed support and the nightstands. Got the hangers & spring clips installed in the pass-thru for storing W/D bars, torque wrench, hoses, cords, EMS, fishing poles, etc. Replaced the lame lavatory faucet with a brushed nickel, single handle faucet that extends out into the bowl far enough to actually wash your hands. Replaced the 18" towel bar in the bathroom with a 30" bar, so I can hang a bath towel and a washcloth. Installed a shelf above the towel bar to put nick-knacks on. Fortunately, the backer for the bedroom TV mount was right where I needed to screw it in. Used 3M Command Strip Velcro to secure the wine rack inside the cubby above the radio/cd/dvd player. Hung a soap/shampoo dispenser in the shower - also using Command Strip Velcro, I can easily remove it to take it to the CG shower (if I want to use those filthy bug-infested places). Hung several pictures, also using the CS Velcro. I love that stuff - wish I owned some 3M stock. "Installed" several nick-knacks, vases, and flower pots using either clear silicone sealant or (you guessed it) Command Strips. Now, they'll stay put, so I won't have to stow them while traveling. Finally, I put shut-offs on the FW overflow tubes, using 1/2" MPT to 3/8" barbed hose fitting, secured to the overflow hoses with screw-tightened hose clamps. To those, I screwed on 1/2" FPT to 3/8" compression straight shut-off valves. I'll leave them open until the FW tanks are almost full (when water starts coming out the overflow tubes), then shut them to top off the tanks. Hopefully, now, I'll be able to get to the campsite with a full tank of water!

Did all that while prepping my house for sale, listing it, selling it (in a week), having a garage sale, and clearing out everything that didn't sell. Started loading clothes into the trailer, yesterday - getting ready to start my full-timing adventure in just 3 weeks.

Guess I've been a little busy! Only thing left is to put some Lexan or metal grill over the bottom of the screen door, to keep the dog from tearing the screen. Bought a guard for a standard screen door, but it's about an inch too long to allow the door to close. I may just cut it down and call it good,

Will post some pics as soon as I'm able.

Brought it home for the trip preparation (leaving Saturday morning)

- Washed roof (what a breeze to wash the AlphaPly roof!!!)
- Washed outside of TT
- Waxed it (it's a longer process waxing a tin TT than it is waxing a fiberglass one)

Tested my homemade XChocks - great fit
Tested my stove cover again - needs a little adjustment at the back

Started packing stuff in!

Can't wait to leave!

I changed my particulate water filter element yesterday morning and the canister was leaking after installing the new one. I found the black o-ring was cracked slightly and even though it was still in the canister channel it was leaking. I replaced it with a spare o-ring and all is well. This filter assembly is 4 years old with full time use. I guess the o-rings just fall apart after a while. I will replace the o-ring in the charcoal filter side when it is due for replacement in September.

Here is the filter assembly I have:
