Installed new lp/co detector. Going off at 3am was not acceptable. Hopefully this replacement will solve that problem.

After reading the loose air conditioner thread I checked mine. Was all good.
Currently loading it up for the weekend and waiting for the wife to get off work.

We did it !!!

My son came over and we cleaned the awning- It was a mess because I have neglected this chore for too long- We used the blue dawn dishwashing liquid and bleach in warm water solution- We wet the top side of the awning with the solution and rolled up the awning for 15 minutes- then we unrolled the awning and hosed off both top and bottom of the fabric and the fiver itself to remove all traces of the solution- The awning looks great!!! Cut window shades out of the Ecofoil roll that arrived several weeks ago.....danged renovation of the house is taking all my time. Next week we move into the camper (PUP) for 3 weeks, while the electrical and hvac contractors do their thing in the house. Then it's insulation and dry wall and finish fixtures and the CO and we can move back in.

Well, I signed the paperwork for our new 25bhs. Excited and can't wait for the maiden voyage. I found some nice designer series tyre guards for it for only $40. The problem is that they are XL 36"-39". i have no idea what size I need since I don't pick up till Wed. Will these work even though I know they are too large?

Just got home from another weekend away with her. Time to drain the water tanks (won't be going out for another couple of weeks) and give her a good bath.

I repaired the manual stairs again. One of the hinge-rivets that holds a connecting link in place broke a couple months ago. Couldn't find a replacement rivet to match, so I've had the steps propped up on an 18" X 24" X 8" "porch" I made a long time ago.

Today I looked closer and realized that by drilling out one of the 5/16" holes, I could use a 3/8" bolt, a couple of nuts and a lock washer to replace the hinge-rivet. For about $1 in parts and an hour of labor, I now have sturdy, usable, functional steps again.

I even removed the ratty carpet covers and cleaned the metal steps up with soap and water. They look good now too!

Left early from work (only 8 hours today), simmered some country style ribs till tender, drank a few Miller HIgh Life bottles, ate and nothing else. Just lived life in my Jayco.

In amazement. Took my 13 year old son out with his friends for the weekend. Woke up to the trailer being freezing cold. He had turned on the AC. We are boondocking. The AC compressor was able to hard start and run, off of the inverter/batteries.?? I must admit I had wondered if our new 3,000 watt inverter could potentially run the AC, but I had not attempted it. My son told me he had started the AC and it had been running for more than half an hour. OFF OF BATTERY POWER! OK, so the net result did substantially drain the battery by the time I woke at 7:00 am, close to 40%. We used the inverter all night. I had a friend using his CPAP all night. Any how, just thought I'd share something that somewhat shocked me. Using batteries to run the Air conditioning.
